One animal shelter keeps it real.
Last month, the Humane Society of Washington County shared a post on Facebook, highlighting one of the cats they have available for adoption with a very fair profile.
“Do you want a cat that doesn’t want you? Do you crave the feeling of judgment in your own home? Do you need someone to slap you back to reality without warning? If you answered yes to any of these questions, we have the cat for you!” the fast began.
Then introducing the cat, whose name is Quinn, the Humane Society noted that she is their “longest resident feline,” adding, “We get it – Quinn isn’t for everyone.”

Continuing to highlight Quinn, the Humane Society said she “has an uncanny ability to make people feel unwelcome in her presence” and “only seems to want to play once a month.”
“Quinn is essentially a livelier houseplant, as all she needs from humans is food, water and litter changes,” they continued. “If you adopt Quinn, you won’t own her, because you can’t own Quinn. She will own you, your house, your things, and everything you hold dear.”
The Humane Society also said that Quinn does not get along with other animals – noting that she would “challenge any dog ββto a fight” – and would be most compatible living “with adults and teenagers only”.
The organization added, “Quinn is like a more physical version of someone who yells ‘Get off my lawn!’ in small children.”

According to the Humane Society, Quinn can be adopted by stopping by their location and asking for her by name.
“He currently lives in an office where he rules with an iron paw,” they wrote.
