Kamie Crawford Was 'Definitely Scared' to Leave Catfish but Says Its 'Intense' Schedule Was 'a Lot' (Exclusive)

She is leaving her duties as co-host Catfish It wasn’t an easy decision, but Kamie Crawford has no regrets.

32 year old Relations podcast host, who announced her departure from Catfish On Oct. 3 after six years, he tells PEOPLE why leaving was the right decision while discussing Mucinex’s new “No Regrets” campaign.

“We did over 100 episodes in one season. But that’s because that’s how we work. It would be like, ‘Oh, a series of episodes,’ and then we’d take a break,” she explains. “And then, a series of episodes and a break. But it was all one season. So it was pretty much all of Season 8, and then I did a few episodes in Season 7 at the end, and then a few episodes on top of Season 9. ”

Looking back on that schedule, Crawford admits that “it was a lot.”

“There’s never been, I don’t think, a show that worked like that. So it was a lot. It was intense,” she continues. “But I’ve always been someone who thrives when I have a lot going on. I feel like when I don’t have a lot going on I’m like, ‘What do I do?'”

Crawford says she “enjoys having multiple jobs,” noting that she’s also hosted Are you the one? and Ex on the beach for MTV while also working Catfish. “It’s great fun. I get really glamorous and I have my own glamor team, where [with] CatfishI do everything myself. And then with my podcast I reach out to my listeners and followers in a different way and talk about the things I want to talk about. And I’m in control of that, so that’s exciting. and then, Sports Illustrated Swimsuit it’s a completely different part of my life,” she explains.

“I’ve always wanted to be everywhere. I’ve always had the fear of being put in a box,” she adds. “It is difficult.”

But when she finally decided that she was not going to continue with Catfishwhich she co-hosted with Nev Schulman, says, “I was definitely afraid to make the decision.”

“It’s been in my life for six years now, and the fans are the best fans in the whole world. They really, really are,” she shares. “Even when I announced it, they said, ‘We’ll follow you wherever you go.’ So it was worth it.”

Continuing, Crawford adds, “I think sometimes you just have to do what’s best for you and live life without regrets and see what else can happen to you. I work with an open mind, just whatever is for me will flow for me, and what whatever the next opportunity is, sometimes one chapter has to close for another to begin.”

The theme of living her life without regrets was what made Crawford’s partnership with Muciniex, a brand she regularly uses to overcome regular painful moments amidst her busy commuting schedule, all the more perfect.

“If God forbid I’m on a plane, I land, I don’t feel well, I can take medicine, I can wake up the next day, I can be on set and I have no problems. It’s great, “shares Crawford. “But the way there are no regrets affects my life in general is that I go after everything I want. And I feel like so many times in my life I’ve wondered if I made the right decision in pushing forward with something.”

“Even with my podcast, I almost didn’t start it because I thought there were so many people who had a podcast,” she admits. “The market is so saturated, like, who’s going to listen to this podcast? Well, it turns out that millions of people listen to it. And so if I didn’t do it, I’d regret it. So just don’t believe in regrets, everything happens for a reason, keep going team so you don’t have to live with regrets.
