Kate Beckinsale upset fans after she shared photos of herself in the hospital.

On Monday, the 50-year-old actress posted a tribute on Instagram celebrating her mother’s birthday and Mother’s Day in the UK, including videos of her mom, Underground the star shared several teary-eyed photos of her sitting in a hospital bed.

“Happy birthday and Mother’s Day in the UK last week to my amazing mother,” she captioned the post. “Thank you to those who love and support us when it is – and try to make sure there are some parts that aren’t. And for taking care of our dogs when we can’t, and making us remember happy things when we can’t. And he appears when we are sick and sits with us. . And send balloons and check in and pull us out of the well with love.”

Since Beckinsale only mentioned that she was “sick,” many of the star’s followers commented under the post, wondering why she was hospitalized.

“What on earth are you doing at the hospital Kate? We wish you peace and good health,” one person wrote, while another added, “I hope you are well; life is hard sometimes 🩷”

Kate Beckinsale hospitalized with ruptured ovarian cyst as stars show support: This ‘really hurts’

Beckinsale last publicly announced a health scare in 2019 after experiencing a ruptured ovarian cyst.

The actress then shared two photos from the hospital bed. One showed him looking in pain with an oxygen tube in his nose. In another, she is lying on her side in bed and covered with a sheet while surrounded by medical equipment.

“It turns out that rupturing an ovarian cyst really hurts, and morphine makes me cry. I’m so grateful to everyone who took care of me,” she captioned the photos and added “#wobbly.”

According to John Hopkins Medicine, “an ovarian cyst is a fluid-filled sac that forms on or inside the ovary. In some cases, the cyst may break open (rupture).” Severe symptoms include “lower abdominal pain and bleeding” and “in rare cases, rupture of an ovarian cyst may require surgery,” according to John Hopkins Medicine.

The actress replied to an individual who commented on the post: “But first let me take a selfie.”

“It’s not really a selfie,” Beckinsale wrote at the time. “My mom took it. In fact, I wouldn’t have posted it if we hadn’t noticed someone in a car taking a photo of me leaving the hospital in a wheelchair.”

“I have Instagram mostly so that I have my honest story and don’t always have to be ambushed by fabricated stories that come out, I’d rather say what happened than suffer speculation and that’s why I decided to share,” she continued, explaining why she posted the private moment. “I agree, it’s not a normal impulse. But it’s not normal to be photographed in vulnerable situations by people you don’t know. (If you were wondering about the origins of this, which you probably weren’t.)”
