Kate Hudson’s Wedge Boots Are Raising the Bar for Comfy Winter Shoes — We Found Similar Pairs Starting at $40

Kate Hudson on it: The Raising Helen the actress wore a pair of black wedge boots while out in New York last week. They appeared to be in an above-the-knee style, probably chosen to add warmth to her legs, which would otherwise have been exposed due to the massive slit down the middle of her denim maxi skirt. She also wore a colorful sweater, complemented by a fur jacket and a colorful bag.

Heels can dress up an outfit, elongate your legs and just make you feel a little more special. But for safety and temperature reasons, you probably won’t go out on the snow in a pair of stilettos. Alternatively, a pair of warm snow boots may be practical, but may not be as confidence-boosting.

The fasteners are also located on the inside of the boots, so they are hidden from outsiders, but easier for wearers to slip on and off.

Like the previous pair, they have a 2-inch heel, but despite this, one customer compared them to sneakers. They’re on sale for $113, although some sizes are already sold out.

If you’re wearing thick denim or loose fabrics like satin, you may not need above-the-knee styles. In that case, consider a shorter pair, like these Vivaia boots.
