The love story of Kate Middleton and Prince William takes center stage in the sixth and final season of the series Crownbut it won’t turn on.
The Prince and Princess of Wales won’t be watching Netflix’s royal drama, writes royal biographer Robert Hardman in his new book, The Making of a King: King Charles III and the Modern Monarchyserialized in Daily mail on Tuesday and will be released on January 18.
“The prince … rolls his eyes when people say ‘it’s just drama,'” a source close to William, 41, says, according to the excerpt. “However, they will not give it more publicity by complaining. He doesn’t like the idea of being seen as a naysayer all the time.”
When he finds time to sit down and relax in front of the TV, according to the author, he probably watches a movie about superheroes.
“Superhero movies are obviously a particular favorite Dead pool and all things Batman,” Hardman writes, according to Daily mail.
A friend adds, “He just likes action movies.”

While William refuses to look Crownhis brother Prince Harry, 39, has a more relaxed take on the Netflix hit.
During an interview with James Corden in 2021, the Duke of Sussex said: “They don’t pretend to be news. It’s fiction. But it is loosely based on the truth. Of course, that’s not strictly true.”
“It gives you a rough idea of what the lifestyle is like, the pressures of putting duty and service ahead of family and everything else that can come from that,” he explained, adding, “I’m much more comfortable with Crown rather, I look at stories written about my family, or my wife, or myself. This is obviously fiction – take it as you will. But it is reported as fact because you are supposedly the news. I have a real problem with that.”

During his performance at The Late Show with Stephen Colbert in January 2023, Harry admitted: “Yes, I did watch Crown.”
When asked if he was “fact-checking” while watching the show, he said: “Yes, I actually did. Which, by the way, is another reason why it’s so important to get the history right.”
