Katie Ledecky May Have Finally Met Her Olympic Match in Cookie Monster and Elmo

Katie Ledecky may have finished her time at the 2024 Summer Olympics, but Cookie Monster and Elmo are ready to put her to the test.

In a video posted on Sesame StreetInstagram and Twitter pages on Thursday, August 8, the swimmer, 27, was tasked with holding a cookie on her head.

“We’re here with the most decorated Olympian ever, swimmer Katie Ledecky,” Cookie Monster says before Elmo excitedly explains, “We’re balancing cookies on our heads.”

“Yeah, because we saw Katie balancing chocolate milk on her head one time, wow,” added Cookie Monster, referring to Ledecky’s viral video from August 2020 in which she swam without spilling a glass of milk placed on top of her head.

“This is a lot harder than swimming,” Ledecky says before the cookie falls off her head and breaks in two.

After the Olympian flips him on her head, she says her conversation with Cookie Monster and Elma was her “favorite” moment of the Games before the cookie falls hilariously twice.
