Keke Palmer Celebrates Son Leo’s First Birthday with Emotional Tribute: ‘Nothing Else Matters’

Keke Palmer’s son is 1 year old!

On Sunday, Palmer’s baby boy, Leodis “Leo” Andrellton Jackson, celebrated his first birthday, and the actress, 30, marked the milestone with lots of photos and videos on Instagram — including one from his birth.

Alongside a snap of herself and Leo taken after she welcomed him last year, the Emmy-winning showrunner wrote: “I gave LIFE! The best day of my life.”

“Nothing else matters,” Palmer added.

In addition to the sweet home video, Palmer also shared an entire Instagram carousel of photos and videos of Leo during his first twelve months.

From clips of Leo rocking and cuddling with loved ones, to photos of the baby in adorable outfits and blowing bubbles, Palmer highlighted the one-year-old’s personality with his sweet post.

“Leo Beo!! Happy birthday son, I LOVE YOU SO MUCH,” she now wrote to the little child in the caption of the post.

“You walked into my life today at 3:25 p.m., but I knew even before that you were the strongest person I’ve ever known,” Palmer added. “There were so many moments during my pregnancy where your quiet strength would have given me peace. It’s something you’re still doing just by your existence!”

The Not the actress went on to say that she’s “always floundered in life,” but Leo makes her life “so worth living.”

“I was just always so annoyed by it and the ups and downs and it always seemed so painful for trivial reasons. Things can be so simple and they aren’t and it always gives me a bitter feeling,” she wrote. “But because you are my son, I have no confusion about why I am here! About my purpose or value or why I should stay. I want to stay because of you. I want to be here to love and protect you and watch you be the greatest good in this world! ”

Palmer continued, “You are so special and so precious that I would take a thousand bullets in the chest, run into a burning building, basically die a thousand deaths… or actually LIVE, live a million lives.”

“Even with all the pain and suffering that man has to experience here. I will do it again and again, because I know I would be with YOU! I will live, I will laugh, I will cry, I will be angry, I will have love and I will have pain, I will find JOY. I will do everything… for you,” concluded the proud mom. “It’s so easy to say no, it’s so easy to say GOODBYE. But I say YES and I say HELLO LIFE because of YOU! I am so happy for my son. Thank you God. I love you so much my friend.”

Palmer shares Lea with her ex-boyfriend, Darius Jackson. Since November, the actress has temporary sole custody of Leo, as well as a temporary restraining order against Jackson.
