Keke Palmer is overjoyed to be a mom to 9-month-old son Leo.
The first-time mother, 30, posted an adorable snap to Instagram on Tuesday, holding and twirling her baby boy in what appears to be a backstage holding area.
“Leo!!! You bring me so much joy my son!! Mama waited so long for you and you were definitely worth the wait,” she captioned the video, which shows Palmer smiling broadly in a black tank top and stilettos. kicking him around.
“I can’t wait for you to grow up and we can go to the movies together, camping, improv, drunk TV shows, cooking, and all the other endless things I dream of doing with you,” she continued. Palmer concluded, “I’ve been through so many things before and after you were born, that’s why I can say without a doubt that your love has made me unstoppable. Nothing can defeat me because I have you by my side. You are the love of my life.. 🙏🏾 .”

Palmer welcomed Leodis Andrellton on February 25 with the baby’s father, Darius Jackson, and revealed her baby’s name on Instagram when she announced the news of his arrival.
“Born during Black History Month, with a name to match,” she wrote in the caption, adding, “LEODIS ANDRELLTON JACKSON, welcome to the world baby Leo.”
Palmer previously teased the special meaning behind her baby’s name during an episode of her podcast, Honey, this is Keke Palmer.
“We don’t say the name, but the name for us – it gives the American one,” she said at the time Essence. “It gives a black American story. We want it to be like — we’re not going to go for anything too unique. It’s not going to be Stone and Sand. It’s just like a nice natural [name].”

Amid questions about the status of her relationship with Jackson, in September the multi-hyphenate superstar appeared on Today with Hoda and Jennawhere she was asked if she and Jackson were still together after the couple appeared at Beyoncé’s show in Los Angeles on September 4.
“You’re not all trying to get into it! They’re trying to Today show,” joked Palmer, who dropped her visual album Big boss May. Hager said, “We want to know if you’re happy.” Palmer replied: “Yeah, life is good. I have nothing but gratitude, honestly. Seriously.”
“So, are you all together?” Hager asked. Palmer said: “I’m going to take a page from my girlfriend Beyoncé’s book: Mind your own business.”

Although she’s been private about Jackson — whom she called “the best dad ever” on Father’s Day — Palmer hasn’t been shy about posting about her son on social media. Between silly videos and heartfelt tributes, she’s been enjoying motherhood.
Before Leo’s arrival, Palmer spoke to PEOPLE about the “excitement” of meeting her son and why his celebration was “Once Upon a Time” themed.
– Right now I feel like I’m living in a fairy tale! Palmer exclusively told PEOPLE. “I’m a huge Disney fan because of how aspirational and sweet their stories are. I want to create that kind of world for my baby, a world where anything is possible.”
