Kelly Rowland says her biggest beautifier is LED light.
The singer, 42, headlined Beautycon in Los Angeles on Sunday, when she spoke exclusively to PEOPLE about her fashion and beauty choices.
When asked about the beauty product she dropped a lot of money on, Rowland said, “There’s this Shani Darden light, an LED light, and it’s not cheap. But I literally sleep under it every night.”
“It’s like a 20 to 30 minute time limit. When I’m under, that [has] red lights, blue lights and other colors of light,” she added. “But those are the ones I use the most, and they’re so great for the simple fact that they kill germs and [helping with] anti-aging, which is amazing.”

Despite Rowland’s fabulous fashion looks over the years, the star told PEOPLE that she doesn’t follow trends. “I just like to have fun with fashion,” she explained. “I don’t like to follow anyone. I would like to do what I feel.”
As for one of her favorite outfits she’s ever worn, Rowland told PEOPLE it was the “dope VMAs look” she wore while in Destiny’s Child.
“It was those corsets,” Rowland described, apparently referring to the girl group’s outfit at the 2000 Video Music Awards. “I remember not being able to breathe for my life, but it looked amazing. We had stones on these black corsets and skirts and they were different varieties of corsets. It was dope.”
