Kieran Culkin Shares Why He Asked Wife for More Kids at Emmy Awards: ‘Been Asking for a While’

Kieran Culkin is open about his very public desire to have another child.

Speaking at the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards on Monday, the 41-year-old actor revealed why he asked his wife Jazz Charton for more children while accepting the award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series.

“I’ve been looking for a while,” Culkin told reporters after accepting the award for his role in Succession — following wins at the Golden Globes and Critics Choice Awards over the past eight days.

“Jazz said, ‘Maybe if you win an Emmy,'” he continued. “I didn’t mention it for months, and then when I won the Globes, I said, ‘Do you remember what you said?’ And she said, ‘What? No. What did I say? I don’t remember this.’ ”

“I told her so, and then it all came back to her,” he continued. “So she spent the whole week nervous.”

Asked what he would name his child, the actor said he “wouldn’t name it Emmy or any other cute little thing.”

However, Culkin admitted he regrets his very public comments at the Peacock Theater in downtown Los Angeles, which came after he accepted the award and thanked his “beautiful wife”, 35, “for sharing your life with me and for gave me two amazing children.”

“And Jazz, I want more,” he continued as Charton laughed and clapped from her seat. “You said could beif I win!”

“Instead of just talking to her in private like a human being, I just blasted her on stage, which was very rude,” he told reporters after the event. “And that’s it. That’s the whole story. Anyway, the end.”

Culkin and Charton married in 2013 during a trip to Iowa after first meeting at a New York bar in 2012. They then welcomed their first child, daughter Kinsey Sioux on September 13, 2019, and son Wilder Wolf on August 17, 2021.
