Kim Kardashian is ready for fall – hair color, that is.
The 43-year-old reality star and entrepreneur has traded in her signature dark curls for a rich red hue that’s sure to stir up seasonal vibes. In a video shared on Instagram Stories on Wednesday, August 28, Kardashian showed off her new color, a long straight style pushed behind her shoulders.
The look is probably a wig, given that in the next slide the star is back to her usual blackish hue. Kardashian also tagged her skincare line SKKN, suggesting the transformation was for a brand shoot. Although short-lived, the dramatic style is enough to inspire the next wave of red hair trends.
Last summer, the striking color was a celebrity favorite, thanks in part to the 2023 live-action remake of the film. The little mermaid starring Halle Bailey. Stars like Chrissy Teigen, Emily Ratajkowski and Megan Fox have embraced the copper hue, proving that there are countless ways to interpret the trend.

The trend appears to be alive and well in 2024 and is sure to pick up steam as fall approaches. In May, Kim’s sister Khloé Kardashian ditched her usual blonde for a strawberry red shade.
“Strawberry Shortcake Vibes 🍓🍓”, she wrote in the description of the carousel on Instagram. “Thank you my sweet @traceycunningham1 for giving me the most beautiful red strawberry 🍓 @priscillavalles Glam: @ash_kholm @hairinel.”
On the 4th of July, Sophia Bush debuted a new copper shade, a surprising change from her usual dark brunette style.
“We decided to put RED in ‘red white and blue’ this year ♥️,” the One Tree Hill wrote the actress under a joint post on Instagram with hairstylist Nikki Lee and makeup artist Afton Williams.

In a series of sexy photos, the former football player and wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes rocked a fiery red that’s a marked departure from her signature bleach shade.
