Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons Turn the Emmy Awards Red Carpet Into Date Night

Dunst supported her husband in style at the awards ceremony, where he was recognized for his role in ‘Love and Death’

The 2023 Emmy Awards doubled as a date night for Jesse Plemons and Kirsten Dunst!

Plemons, 35 — who is nominated for best supporting actor in a limited series or movie for his role in Love & Death at the ceremony – and Dunst, 41, made a perfect pair, complementing each other in dark maroon and black.

While Plemons wore his classic awards show uniform of a black suit and bow tie, Dunst wore perhaps the most popular color of this awards season so far, red, opting for a deep shade.

Like nominee Riley Keough, Dunst wore a Chanel dress, donning a look from the brand’s spring-summer 2023 Haute Couture collection.

The Maria Antoinette the star paired a blue and burgundy check dress, which featured a bow embellished train, with Chanel jewels and a bright red lip.

This is not the first time that the couple has appeared on the red carpet together. Earlier this month, Plemons and Dunst wore matching classic black outfits to the 2024 Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards. Deceived the actress wore a backless black chiffon dress with a plunging neckline, while Plemons opted for the timeless combination of a black tuxedo and white shirt.

They also walked the red carpet at LACMA’s Art + Film Gala in September 2023, where Dunst wowed in a white beaded minidress, while Plemons again kept things simple in a black tuxedo.

The Hollywood couple have sons Ennis (6) and James (2), and officially married in 2022 after six years together.

At the premiere of the film in April 2023 Love & DeathPlemons said Party tonight he was surprised how marriage made their relationship feel “different” despite how long they had been a family before they officially said “I do.”

“It is funny. I wasn’t sure how different it was [marriage] I would feel because we’ve been together for a while and, two kids later, it’s pretty solid, you know?” Plemons said ET. “But there was something really beautiful [a wedding] and actually taking time to celebrate, and it feels different, in a good way.”

In the same interview, The power of the dog the actor noted that Hollywood events sometimes seem like the only outings that busy parents have.

“Half the time it is [at an event] like this, but we’ll take it and I appreciate it anyway,” he said of their red carpet appearances.
