Mocking Anasuya’s outfit
In October 2021, Kota Srinivasa Rao was asked to give her opinion on the Telugu comedy show Jabardasth during an interview on her YouTube channel. While expressing his views on the show, Kota took aim at the show’s host Anasuya Bharadwaj saying that he didn’t like the way she dressed on the show. He further said that the audience would still like her if she wore a saree. Talking about this, he said,
what is inside? Anasuya Garu is right there, she is a good actor, a good dancer, has a good personality and good expressive skills and so on. But when you look at her in that show, the way she dresses, I don’t like the way she dresses. She is beautiful, otherwise the audience would take a second look at her. She can be so normal that even if she wears a saree, the audience will look at it. Roja (judge) is also on the same show, right? [the audience] Didn’t you see her wearing a sari? “
Following the remarks, Anasuya took to Twitter to express her displeasure and indirectly slammed Cota’s remarks, saying he “glorified drinking, wearing shabby clothes, and abusing and humiliating women on screen.”

Make unfounded comments
Kota Srinivasa Rao has often courted controversy for making unwelcome comments about South Indian actors. In May 2022, he said in an interview that he did not see any potential in Ram Charan and that he became an actor only because of his father Chiranjeevi. Talking about this, he said,
Charan is ranked behind Jr NTR, Mahesh Babu and Allu Arjun. Since he is the son of superstar Chiranjeevi, he has reached this level. “
Later, when Kota was asked about Chiranjeevi’s promise to build a hospital for the needy, Kota questioned Chiranjeevi’s intentions and claimed that Chiranjeevi never donated money to poor South Indian film artists Don’t pay them any money and don’t support them in any way. Kota further said Chiranjeevi was building a hospital to boost his image among the public. Talking about this, he said in an interview,
Who will go to that hospital? He should first help those poor artists find some jobs, and then he can go to the hospital by himself. There are budding and veteran actors who ruin their careers because they don’t have proper jobs and indulge in bad habits due to lack of income. He never gave any film workers a penny in his life. Why did Chiranjeevi suddenly want to become famous by building hospitals? “
