Kristen Bell’s Dress Is a More Fall-Friendly Version of the Style Seen on Meghan Markle and Katie Holmes

The actress wore a $299 striped Posse dress while doing press for her new Netflix series on September 24 Nobody wants this. It revealed her cleavage with its off-the-shoulder neckline while covering most of her arms and legs thanks to the long sleeves and all-over design. In short, it was image of temperature regulation.

And it seems like yes all, including me, wants a dress with a classic pattern: Last summer, Meghan Markle and Katie Holmes wore the same striped strapless dress that was actually Bella’s dress in a more airy form — same brand and all.

I’m the kind of person who wears my jacket long after I get home because I like to be comfortable. Pullover dresses are just thicker versions of the average style and are just as comfortable as a blanket, but much more presentable. Bell, Kelly Clarkson and Reese Witherspoon also wear them.

This one from Lulus is a little shorter than Bell’s, but I usually wear high boots in the fall anyway. And if I get cold, a leather jacket would work well as a top. The classic pattern – also seen on Gwyneth Paltrow and Reese Witherspoon – is also less chunky, which is more minimalistic for my everyday dress.

If an off-the-shoulder style will instantly make you cringe, you don’t have to grin and bear it. It doesn’t bother me personally, but I know that my mom, for example, would prefer something like this. It’s also a bit baggy, which I’d also usually pick as my first choice.

Bella’s shoes were flat heels, so I want to copy pretty much everything from her outfit. I wish I could do a Carrie Bradshaw heel, but I trip when there’s nothing on the ground. Flats have become my best friend over the past year and this pair has the cutest heel that feels secure and comfortable to wear. They’re also on sale for under $30 for Prime members.

And then when the snow and sleet starts to fall, I’ll definitely switch to something closed, like the penny loafers I found for you too.
