In 2022, Keshama decided to adopt monogamy, also known as automarriage. This is the popular concept of a person marrying himself. This is a trend that people in Western countries have been adopting for some time. Kshama was the first to adopt it in India. Her wedding was originally scheduled for June 11, 2022. She decided to perform all Hindu rituals at a temple in Gotri, Vadodara, Gujarat. Like every bride, she bought a wedding dress of her choice and handed out wedding invitations with just her name on them.

After the news broke, reporters went to interview her and asked her how she came up with the idea. she says,
I’ve had this idea since I was a kid, but wasn’t sure if it was possible. I became aware of the concept of “Sologamy” when I Googled “can I marry myself”. After this, I thought why not marry myself.
Someone asked her why she chose single marriage instead of marrying a man. She replied:
Self-marriage is a commitment to yourself to love yourself unconditionally. It is also an act of self-acceptance. People marry the people they love. I loved myself and therefore loved this wedding. “
In order to avoid controversy, she brought forward the wedding date and married herself on June 8, 2022, at her residence in Daman, Gujarat. After her marriage, she planned to go to Goa for her honeymoon.

She has a friend named Raj Bhatt who is very close to her and appears in some of her Tiktok videos. At one point, she posted a poem dedicated to him, in which she tried to convey how important he was in her life.

In January 2015, she started working as a choreographer at X Dance School. She started working as a Head HR Recruiter at Kosas Industries Pvt Ltd in April 2015 and left the job in February 2016. In 2016, she also worked as a sales manager at Fashion Clothing. In February 2016, she joined NJ Placement and Financial Services as a Human Resources Recruitment Manager and has worked here for more than two years. She also became the Managing Director of Motilal Oswal Investment Advisors Private Limited in November 2016 and worked here for two months. Thereafter, she worked as Human Resources Manager at Ashwamedh Political Consulting Company till June 2017. In May 2018, she joined Collabera as director of career development and left in August 2018. In the same year, she also worked as a freelance model. Her next job was as an executive career development/IT recruiter for a US company called Cognixia for one year, leaving in March 2019. In April 2019, she joined another US company called Apidel Technologies where she held a position as a Senior Healthcare Recruiter until December 2019. In January 2020, she joined IMS People as a Senior Recruiter until September 2020. In the same month, she started working at QX Global Group in the UK as a Senior Information Technology Recruiter, a job she left to start in January 2022. In February 2022, she joined iPlace in Pune where she worked as a Senior Recruiter.

- When Keshama announced her marriage in June 2022, a BJP leader objected and said Hinduism did not allow such a marriage. He said Kshama should not be allowed to get married in the temple. She foresaw the coming controversy and decided to get married before the wedding date.
