Lalit Yadav was born on Friday, January 3, 1997 (24 years old in 2021) in Najafgarh, New Delhi. His zodiac sign is Capricorn. Lalit started playing cricket at a very young age and played his first Under-12 match at Delhi Public School, Dwarka, Delhi. He started practicing for more matches and completed his schooling at the National Open Schooling Academy in 2015. Lalit Yadav participated in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in January 2018 and won the tournament with the team. In a local T20 tournament, Lalit Yadav hit six sixes twice in a match. Delhi Capitals recruited Lalit Yadav for Rs 20 lakh to play in the 2020 Indian Premier League.
