Larsa Pippen Deleted a Bikini Pic After Her Dad Suggested She Take It Down: ‘I Didn’t Want to Upset Him’ (Exclusive)

Larsa Pippen may be a mom herself, but she still listens to her parents!

The The Real Housewives of Miami star told PEOPLE she decided to delete a bikini pic of herself that she posted on Instagram on Wednesday after her father suggested she remove it.

“Dad texted me yesterday and said, ‘You posted a photo and I think you need to take it down,'” Pippen says. “And when my dad sends me stuff like that, I listen to him!”

The photo in question was taken while Pippen was sitting on a beach chair in a black bikini. In the picture, she leaned back to show off her outfit, bending her right leg to model a diamond bracelet (which matched her necklace) and leaving her left leg in the sand.

“The sun is on my mind,” she captioned the picture.

Her post got a lot of love in the comments section, though trolls also chimed in, criticizing Pippen for what they saw as a provocative pose. That prompted her father’s request, the reality star tells PEOPLE.

“I think my dad found out about all these things that are on display there,” she says. “My family is really traditional and old school—I’m the one who always pushes the envelope with them, you know? So when he sent it to me, I just deleted it.”

“I just didn’t want to upset him,” she adds. “It wasn’t worth not making him happy at that moment.”

Pippen has faced pressure from her family in the past. Back in 2022, she revealed that her father had begged her to delete her OnlyFans account.

“They’re not always happy with me. They’re very conservative. They like to live very modestly — they don’t like all the fuss,” Pippen tells PEOPLE. “I feel like, as far as I’m concerned, that’s all I know. So I’m very comfortable in the madness, and they’re not.”

“I don’t know, sometimes I feel like I shouldn’t do too much because I feel like they’re being affected by my actions,” she continues. “But I have to live my life too, you know?”

She finds herself in the same problems, sometimes with her three children: daughter Sophia (15) and sons Justin (19), Preston (22) and Scotty Jr., 23, — all of whom she shares with ex-husband Scottie Pippen.

“They can be a little embarrassed about the things their mom does here and there, but we’re a supportive family,” Pippen says. “You know, Scotty Jr. plays for the Lakers, Justin gets all these basketball scholarships, Sophia models, so they’re all doing things they love.”

She continues, “I tell my kids, ‘You’re not going to get this chance in life. You have to take your chances in life, because you never know when they’re going to be gone.’ And sometimes they need reminding of that, but eventually they get it.”
