- “We’re taking it day by day,” Kallie said in her latest Facebook update
- Kallie insisted their doctor was “nothing short of amazing”.
Levi Wright’s mother shared an update on the child’s condition after the accident.
On Sunday, May 26, Kallie Wright, who shares Levi, three, with rodeo star Spencer Wright, said in a Facebook post that the family were “taking it one day at a time” after previously revealing they were “devastated” by the MRI results .
“This is an experience, I pray from the bottom of my heart that you never have to know the way I’m starting,” Kallie wrote of Levi, who has been in critical condition in the hospital since he crashed his toy tractor into a Utah river on May 21.
“This is a roller coaster that you go on reluctantly and blindfolded, you don’t know what’s next,” she added. “You just have to wait and ride it out. We’re taking it day by day.”

The mum-of-three added of Levi’s condition: “The term ‘brain injury’ is very broad, there are ranges and different severities. No two brain injuries are the same, even if the accident is similar. No two brains that recover or fail to recover are the same . There’s a lot that medical professionals don’t know, but what they’re telling you is based on legitimate medical literature and history.”
Kallie also praised the medical team helping Levi, calling their doctor “nothing short of extraordinary.”
“I believe with all my heart that her heart was invested in him, because she gave us the most precious gift of time. Something we almost didn’t have,” Kallie continued.
“Is it time to see if God gives us a miracle or is it time to research, learn and process all of this to make the best informed decisions. Every decision that Levi’s dad and I make will be made based on what, the two of us the people who know him best believe that he would want in all of this, he comes first,” Kallie added, noting that the family was “researching the therapies that were mentioned.”
She added that they “worked with those we feel can be of support and get as many professional eyes on this as possible,” writing, “We still just need prayers. We’ll need them for years to come because I’m afraid we haven’t even to the hardest part of this.”

Kallie announced on May 24 that Levi’s MRI results were not what the family had hoped for. “We are devastated, but these are just pictures that suggest a certain quality of life,” she posted. “Our real indicator of everything will be what Levi does over the next few days. Please keep praying! I’m not giving up on my baby yet.”
The results came after Kallie discovered that Levi had woken up. “I’m shaken, we don’t know much, but the doctor said it’s okay to get excited about it and I AM! My baby is so tough!” she wrote shortly after midnight local time on May 24.
“He went a little wild so we had to calm him down again, but my heart!” she added then.
