Lijomol Jose is an Indian actress who mainly appears in Malayalam and Tamil films. She is known for her role as Sengeni in the Tamil film “Jai Bhim” (2021), released on Amazon Prime Video.

Lijomol Jose was born in 1992 in Peermade, Kerala (29 years old; as of 2021). She is pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree. She received her BA in Visual Media from Amrita College of Arts and Sciences, Kochi, Kerala, from 2009 to 2012. She obtained her Master’s degree in Library and Information Science from Pondicherry University from 2014 to 2016.

She started working as a deputy editor/reporter at Jaihind TV in July 2012 and worked there for two years. In 2016, she made her acting debut in the Malayalam film Maheshinte Prathikaaram, playing the role of Sonia.

In the same year, she appeared in the Malayalam film “Kattappanayile Rithwik Roshan” as Kani. Her other Malayalam films include Bee 2.5 (2017), Streetlight (2017), Premasoothram (2018) and Ottakoru Kaamukan (2018).

In 2019, she made her acting debut in the Tamil film Sivappu Manjal Pachai, playing the role of Rajalakshmi Raji (Poonai). She has also appeared in several other Tamil films such as Theethum Nandrum (2019) and Jai Bhim (2021).

- In an interview, while talking about her Tamil film Jai Bhim (2021), she said:
I often see news about inequality and caste discrimination. But I never looked for too many details about it. Now, I think I have begun to seriously see things from the perspective of those who suffer. I’m excited to play a silent character. I believe my role will spark some kind of change in society. “
She added,
Even now if I see this movie I will cry. That’s because I lived through her trauma and it’s still there inside of me even now. No role I’ve played so far has had as much of an impact on me as this one. I didn’t use glycerin either for dubbing or shooting the death scenes. What you see on the screen are real tears. In fact, I was sobbing and couldn’t control my tears even when the director said “stop.” It took me a long time to get a hold of myself. There are several scenes like this in the film. “
