MADELEINE McCann suspect Christian Brueckner admitted to a prisoner that he DID abduct a child from a Portuguese flat, a court heard sensationally today.
Pedophile Brueckner, 47, is said to have confided about his past after asking cellmate Laurentiu C if “he too” was behind bars for child offences.

The tramp then confided that he had taken the “child” during a burglary in Portugal – and begged a colleague to burn down his den when he got out of prison.
He chillingly brought up the possibility of Maddie being buried to Laurentius C – saying the rapist had asked him “if the child’s DNA could be taken from the bones underground”.
The witness told the Braunschweig District Court: “He said he stole in Portugal.
“He told me that he stole in Portugal.
“He was in the area of the hotel where rich people live. And when he went to the hotel, somewhere there was an open window, he told me.
“And he would enter this window to get money and gold. However, he did not find the money, instead he came across a child and took him with him.
“About two hours later, the area was full of police and dogs and he left there.
“He left the area, and then said that there was another person with him with whom he had an argument and that they separated.
“And he said he took the child with him to Portugal and drove away, while the place was full of police and dogs.
“He drove off in his car and he was gone. He asked me if DNA could be taken from the child.”
Laurentiu C added: “He asked me if the child’s DNA could be taken from the bones underground.”

It came after Maddie’s investigators previously said they strongly believed the child was dead, although they did not say why they believed that.
Laurentiu C also claimed that Brueckner seemed panicked about possible evidence he could leave at the crime scene – he asked if a person could be found by hair – or if they could leave a trail climbing over the balcony.
He claimed in court that ailing Brueckner asked him to set fire to his box factory lair when he got out of prison – believing he would never be freed.
German FBI agents later searched the property and found a number of data warehouses and hard drives – although the exact relevance to the case has not been released.
Laurentiu C also claimed that Brueckner bragged about covering his tracks by burning cars – although he did not specify in court which crime this was referring to.
He said: “He told me he was there in Portugal with one other person and he set fire to the car or hired someone else to set fire to the car in Portugal.”

The witness also claimed that Brueckner told him he molested the “tiny” young girls on a “bus” he owned after abducting them.
He said in court: “There was talk about a girl, I don’t know if what he said is true or not.”
“He said he had a bus and that he took her there. He said he kept some of them but not others, but he never said he killed them.
“We are talking about girls, not boys. Not all at once, always one at a time. He told me about two. He said he took one, had sex with her, but didn’t kill her.”
When asked by the judge how old his victim was, Laurentiu C said: “I don’t want to misunderstand, but she was very young, tiny. I mean young.
“Every time we were together he talked about it because he was convinced I was a pedophile.”
He added: “Every time he asked me if I was a pedophile. Every time we talked, he came back to it. Brückner then said: ‘Tell me, you don’t have to look after me.’
“He told me all these things in the hope that I was a pedophile too.”
The witness claimed in court that the German confided in him while both were in pretrial detention in the same prison.
At the time, the criminals were in prison together in 2020 after Brueckner was publicly named as the prime suspect in Madeleine’s 2007 disappearance.
The testimony is a huge boost to the Maddie case – showing that prosecutors in Germany now have a second witness to Brueckner’s confessions.
They previously appeared to be relying solely on the testimony of former drifter Helga Busching – whose credibility has been undermined during Brueckner’s current rape and sexual assault trial.
Earlier, Brueckner was confronted in court for the first time by images of Maddie that were displayed on large screens as part of the exhibition.
Convicted pedophile and rapist Christain Brueckner was named as the prime suspect in Madeleine McCann’s disappearance in 2020, although he was never formally charged.
He is on trial for a series of rapes and sexual offenses unrelated to Madeleine McCann’s disappearance, which he denies.
The trial continues.
