Maggie Q admits she recently learned a new life hack that “blew me away”.
The Divergent The 44-year-old actress recalls a recent conversation with her sister-in-law.
“She showed me a video of how you put a garbage bag in it,” Q says in this week’s issue of PEOPLE magazine. “We were doing it all wrong. We were putting what we thought was the inside of the bag into the can, but actually, you’re supposed to put it on the other side, upside down. And it’s so much easier! I was like, ‘Wait a minute, what?!’ ”
Another trick that impressed the actress was the “correct” way to use a can opener: “You know how you use it, it’s parallel to the can. Right? Apparently, the twisting part is actually supposed to lie on top of the can. And it works!” she says laughing. – I don’t know what is happening in the world.

The last time I danced was probably at the ice rink, dancing on roller skates. I went to a gay skate night, so there was a lot of competition. I had to bring my A-game.
One of my dogs made me laugh last time. My German shepherd, who is a drama queen, puts his whole body between me and any dog I pay attention to. He’s a giant baby.
The last time I stayed up too late, I go to bed so early. We were going to a party and I said to my husband, “I have to mentally prepare myself for this.” We got home at 11:30 and I thought I was going to die the next day.
The last dream I remember. After dinner I like to watch Friends. At the moment, I am also designing our house and one night in my dream everyone was helping me, literally installing plasterboard. I said, “Thank you, Monica!”
