Mark Wahlberg shows a sweet tribute to his wife.
While appearing on the Monday, August 12, episode Jimmy Kimmel LiveThe 53-year-old actor told guest host Jeff Goldblum that his “only tattoo left” is a ring finger tattoo dedicated to his wife, Rhea Durham.
“That’s my wife’s name,” Wahlberg said as the camera zoomed in on the ink. “In case I’m not wearing my ring or working, I can always have it.”
The actor explained that he got the name tattooed “on Valentine’s Day one year.” “She said, ‘That’s the nicest thing you’ve ever done,'” he recalled of his wife’s reaction to the gesture. Wahlberg then joked, “I said, ‘Can I get the expensive jewelry back and buy you one of these?'” Wahlberg and Durham first met at a press conference in 2001 and married in 2009. He continued: “They promise you it’s very quick, a few visits. It took me years. I was actually trying to remove them until the time I was going to do it Fighter because every time I shot a movie, if I had to take my shirt off, I had to put all my makeup on. A harrowing experience. So I tried to do that and it took me about five years to completely remove them.”
