Sonia Granados debuted on Married at first sightSeason 4, which took place in Miami, Florida in 2016. Although she ended up saying “I do” to Nick Pendergrast and staying with him during Decision Day, the two went their separate ways after the season ended.

October 15, Season 18 Married at first sight premiering on Lifetime, returning to Chicago to follow five couples as the reality of their newlywed lives together begins. Here, Sonia gives PEOPLE his recap of the Nov. 19 episode.

It’s pretty funny how Michelle says, “We need to stop talking about the ‘living situation,'” but the next moment she brings up the living situation. I’m sure David doesn’t like hearing that he lives at home with his parents all the time. He knows where he lives!

Michelle is seemingly closed. It’s really painful to watch. David is trying his best, but Michelle has a huge wall! It must be really hard to be in David’s shoes right now. I know Michelle is watching this frustrated with herself because lady, throw this man a bone, please. Michelle came in with all her “don’t call me, don’t text me” energy. She was a bit harsh. I can see how that would make someone unsubscribe. I think David’s “you want mommy space, I’ll give it to you…” hints at something!

Michelle on the boat was probably the most vulnerable person we’ve ever seen. I loved how she realized she had officially shut down. Now, let’s hope she tried to switch off.

I found the exercise scene with David and Madison interesting. They seem to really get along and lean on each other for support. David seemed more at ease with Madison than with his own wife.

Emem and Ikechi.

Emem is indeed in an experiment, it seems. She understands what it will take to make her marriage work and is putting in the effort.

I can see Ikechi being moved by Emem being called a “host” because, I agree! Sir, we are married!

I’m also a little confused because they seemed to have such great chemistry, but in this episode we see another side of their relationship. What are we missing? How did the hot water suddenly become so cold?!

Karla and Juan.

This is a SEXY couple! Both of them, individually and together, are a very sexy couple. I think they are joking. However, Juan seems to have expectations of what a woman should look like for him, as well as for Karla, and I wonder if the two match up.

Karla and Juan singing “2 Live Crew” was really the highlight of the episode. They are so cute together.

I wish Juan had kissed Karla during the pool scene. Give us – and her – something to work with here!

Camille and Thomas.

Thomas and Camille are a perfect example of what a Married at first sight a couple should look. Two people who are very considerate and have a soft spot for each other. They communicate with each other so beautifully. This is a couple of grown people!

I like how Thomas talks about his childhood with Camille — it will bring them closer. Thomas telling Camille his dream about that kiss in the ocean with the rain and Camille knowing he wanted some pecking was the sweetest!

I’m a little obsessed with the maturity and respect of this couple. Please don’t let me down! Camille said, “I wouldn’t be mad if Thomas slapped my ass.” Dasss!

Madison and Allen.

Alen is the kind of man every grown woman wants. Every woman who’s had a bad boyfriend wants Allen. A man who wants to be better for his partner, in any way.

Madison doesn’t seem the least bit interested in Allen, but the poor guy is trying to impress her. I feel like Madison is working overtime on the Allen friendship. It’s disappointing and it will be interesting to watch if she ever warms to her husband because he puts in all the effort.

This season of Married at first sight it feels deep and layered. It should be interesting to see how these marriages play out. I’ll join in!
