Casey Affleck was considering joining Bachelor.
While the actor might be a surprising choice to host ABC’s dating series, his longtime friend and co-star Matt Damon joked that he should try. During an interview with BuzzFeed UK, the actors were asked which reality show they would both go on if they had to, and Damon immediately suggested his sidekick take part in it Bachelor with a laugh.
“I’ve been thinking about it,” Affleck, 49, teased. “I thought, ‘That would be really fun.’ I swear – I thought it through.”
“If you went on there and just did it — totally committed to it, you really did it, to the best of your ability,” Affleck added as he continued to mull over the idea, before telling Damon, “That was a good guess.”

Damon, 53, said he saw Affleck – who split from ex-wife Summer Phoenix in March 2016 and is currently in a relationship with Caylee Cowan – at Bachelor “it would be amazing,” adding, “It would be must-see TV.”
“Ugh. I want to do it,” Affleck said.
However, the show Damon got more serious about for Affleck was a survivalist show on the History Channel alonewhile Affleck said his friend could compete further american idolexplaining, “I’ve seen Matt work on so many talent shows, backwards, that american idol must be [the choice].”
“Here’s what I’d like to see Casey on alone” said Damon. “It’s my favorite show. I just wonder how long Casey would last, if he was able to build his shelter, start looking for food, berries. Do some hunting.”
Affleck estimated he would only last “four days,” before agreeing to his Promoters Costar’s idea. “It’s a great show. I’ll do it.”

Damon and Affleck aren’t the only stars who admit they’re big fans alone – is one of the survival reality shows that most celebrities share their love for.
Rachel Brosnahan and Ted Danson named it one of their favorite quarantine watches of 2020, with Danson calling it “kind of a brilliant pandemic watch” at the 2020 Emmys virtual pre-show. Hey!
It is also highly ranked on Gwyneth Paltrow’s list. During the interview for “73 questions” with Vogue last year, she named Paltrow alone as a show she “would love to be a guest on if she could.”
“But I’m not that good at surviving, so yeah [it’d be] a very short cameo,” she added.

The survival series, currently airing its 11th season, pits 10 individuals against each other as they compete to survive as long as possible in the wilderness. The winner goes home with $1 million – more than the $500,000 the contestants battled for in seasons 1-6.
In season 11, 10 contestants attempt to survive the “unrelenting Arctic Circle”, which is “the most northerly location in the show’s history”, with only “10 select items”.
