On Wednesday, October 23, the 29-year-old rapper appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon where she discovered her current obsession Sex and the city — which no one seems to have recommended to her.
“Nobody told me Sex and the city was this good?” Megan teased him. “I’m mad. No one said, ‘Megan, you should watch Sex and the city. Girl, this is for culture. Watch out! I don’t even know how I like it, I stumbled upon it. I think I kept seeing pictures of Sarah Jessica looking pretty as a dick.”

She added: “Her hair, her shoes, her clothes were always so beautiful. I was wondering, what kind of show is this? Let me just watch it, let me get into it because no one put me. So I started watching the series and it’s like I can’t look away. This is the best thing! I watch it when I work out, I watch it when I’m in glam, I watch it when I have nothing else to do and I’m a busy girl. I’m like, squeeze Sex and the city in there. And I ask everyone, ‘Did you see Sex and the city?”
Later, the “Mamushi” singer told host Jimmy Fallon that she still had to see 2008. Sex and the city the film and its sequel from 2010.
“Way Sex and the city finished, you know, I was a little upset, and they said, ‘No, no, no, no, no, you have to see the movie.’ And I’m like, ‘OK, take me there because I don’t understand what’s going on,'” Megan said.
The actor/comedian, 50, then asked Megan for reviews of the show’s characters, including Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker), Samantha (Kim Cattrall), Charlotte (Kristin Davis) and Miranda (Cynthia Nixon), which she gave in great detail. .
Megan started with Samantha, who she didn’t like at first.
“When Sex and the city first started for me, I was like, ‘Oh, I hate this character.’ Like, why are you making her say, oh my god, sex is like the ruler of my life. And like I’m so desperate. I thought, this is terrible, this is a terrible character. But as the show went on, I was like, ‘OK, wait. Wait a minute.’ I’m glad I stuck it out, because she leads men. It’s like she doesn’t let men lead her and keeps trying to tell girls, like stop making a man the center of your life. For example, go shopping, have fun, earn and then have fun with your little toys. And I said, yes, I did,” she said.
When Megan began describing Charlotte, she called her a “little crazy” but added the caveat that she is “sweet.” “She would be my best friend because she’s so emotional and I feel like it’s okay to cry. It’s okay to be a little crazy. She could be a Cancer on the show, her character has to be a Cancer… I’m sorry Cancers, but everyone you are very emotional and I feel that Cancers and Aquarians get along very well,” she said.
Megan then called Miranda “the worst character on the show.” “I can’t stand Miranda. She never had anything nice to say. She’s so sad all the time… How could anyone fix their lips to be mean to Steve [David Eigenberg] and Miranda figured out a way to be mean to Steve. The only thing Steve ever wanted was to love this crazy lady,” she said.
Finally, Megan gave her review of the show’s main character, Carrie. “Her hair is good, her makeup is great. I’m pretty sure this dress looks great paired with a pair of Manolo pants. Like she’s always attractive, doing that sick old stuff. She’s crazy. But you know what [Laughs]? I see a lot of myself in this character, like Carrie really loved the drama. As if she would literally wake up and realize how I can ruin everyone’s day? How can I be my sweetest self and ruin everyone’s day? How can I complicate my life? Simply, she could always make the right choice. She could choose sanity, but she always chose madness. And then I had to ask myself, is it me?”
