Meghan made an appearance on Wednesday as she cheered on pal Tyler Perry at The Paley Honors Gala in Beverly Hills.
Meghan and her husband Prince Harry, 40, were part of the Tribute Host committee chair for the event, although he was not present on the red carpet.
The Duchess attended the event in California alone, while Harry was thousands of miles away at the New York Times DealBook Summit 2024.
Speaking during an event for The New York Times without Meghan, the king’s youngest son addressed the divorce rumors surrounding the couple on social media.
Laughing at the speculation, Harry said: “We’ve probably bought or moved house 10, 12 times.
“Supposedly we’ve also been divorced maybe 10, 12 times. So it’s like, what?”
He alluded to a number of baseless rumors – posted by trolls on social media – regarding his family life.
Speaking about why he and Meghan aren’t often seen together on business, fueling gossip, the royal jokingly told a reporter: “Because you invited me, you should have known,” to the delight of the audience, reports the Mirror.
Meanwhile, in Beverly Hills, Meghan cheered on Perry, 55, as the Paley Center for Media honored the visionary director, actor and philanthropist with a unique celebration of his career.
The Suits star wore a pair of black Stuart Weitzman heels and a silver Logan Hollowell necklace, opting for a natural makeup look and a neat updo.

Perry was also the tournament’s Paley Honorary Award winner.
Meghan and Harry have a close friendship with the billionaire director who is the godfather of their three-year-old daughter Lilibet.
Harry also said he and wife Meghan Markle have no plans to leave the US anytime soon during his solo trip to New York.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex moved to Montecito, California in the summer of 2020, just months after stepping down as working royals.
Harry, 40, has made several solo trips to the UK this year alone – although he remains estranged from much of the Company.
Speaking at the DealBook Summit he said: “I really enjoy living here and raising my children here.”
There are activities he can do with his children that he “definitely wouldn’t be able to do in the UK”, he said, citing safety concerns.
Harry said he is now focused on “being the best husband and the best dad I can be”.
The Duke went on to tell NYT columnist and event founder Andrew Ross Sorkin that he opposes banning social media for children because it could lead to family feuds and bullying by schoolmates.
Instead, Harry said such companies should be subject to greater transparency and accountability.
He said that social media were “already intentionally created to create addiction” so banning or removing them “creates various problems”.
Harry said he doesn’t have his own social media accounts to protect his peace.
“I try to think about these things through the lens of being a dad,” he said.
“It’s no coincidence that the world has become more unstable and divided since social media has been around for 20 years,” Harry added.
William and Harry send separate messages to award winners

The Prince of Wales and the Duke of Sussex once again separately congratulated the winners of the Diana Award, established in memory of their mother.
William wrote the letter, which was published on Wednesday, praising the “extraordinary” recipients for their “kindness and compassion” and telling them: “My mother… would be immensely proud of you.”
The prince, in his letter on Kensington Palace letterhead, described how “the world can feel like an unsafe and unfamiliar place” and praised the winners for overcoming obstacles to “make positive change”.
Harry, meanwhile, recorded a video message to be played during the virtual Diana Awards on Thursday.
The Duke will talk about how Diana’s worldview still inspires him as he outlines the challenges the world faces, including “systemic injustices”.
He, like William, will refer to the charity’s mission to inspire young people to make “positive change”.
Harry will say: “I continue to be inspired by my mother’s belief in the power of young people to drive positive change.
“Regardless of the challenges we face, whether it’s climate change, mental health or systemic injustices, her legacy and the efforts of young people to inspire further action in the world fills me with hope.”
The royal brothers have a long-standing rift that worsened after Harry made allegations against William and the Princess of Wales in his Netflix documentary and autobiography, Spare.
Their strained relationship shows no signs of healing despite the health problems facing the royal family in 2024.
The Diana Award said the charity, which is marking 25 years since it was founded in honor of the late Diana, Princess of Wales, “has the support of both her sons, HRH The Prince of Wales and Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex”.
William’s letter reads: “Congratulations on receiving the Diana Award!” I am so proud of the impact each of you has had on your communities and beyond.
“You are driven by kindness and compassion, and with that you all change the world for the better.
“In this special year of the 25th anniversary of the Diana Awards, it is wonderful to see young people from all over the world being recognised.”
He added: “Sometimes the world can seem like an unsafe and unknown place and I know many of you have had to work hard to overcome obstacles to make a positive change.
“Nevertheless, I am delighted to see what inspiring young people like you can achieve.
“I know that my mother, in whose memory you are receiving the Diana Award today, would be immensely proud of you.
“I hope that this award will help you to further advocate for your cause and support those around you.
“Thank you for your dedication. You are all outstanding.”
The letter is signed “William”.
The revelation comes after he and Meghan, 43, were rumored to have snapped up a luxury property in Portugal’s Alentejo.
The couple are reportedly planning to set up base there after they were spotted in the area last September following the Invictus Games in Dusseldorf, Germany.
They currently live in an £11m Montecito mansion, which boasts nine bedrooms, 16 bathrooms, a swimming pool and a tennis court.
Harry is also continuing his legal battle against the Home Office over taxpayer-funded insurance to keep his family safe.
