MILF Manor’s Joey Burford Needs Facial Reconstruction Surgery After 'Tragic' Scooter Accident: ‘Miracle He’s Alive’

Joey Burford has a long road to recovery after a serious scooter accident.

On October 19, MILF Manor star’s mother and co-star Kelle Mortensen, 53, shared an update on his health in a GoFundMe post.

“It is with a heavy heart that I am writing to you today to tell you that my son, Joey, was recently involved in a serious scooter accident,” she revealed. “This tragic event has resulted in significant complications that will require him to undergo multiple facial reconstruction surgeries.”

“Joey faces a long and challenging road to recovery, and as we navigate this journey, we face mounting medical bills and the uncertainty of when he will be able to return to work. Your support would mean a lot to us at this difficult time.”

“Although he faced some challenges, including the need for extensive dental work and additional facial surgery, we are relieved to report that the bleeding on his brain has stopped and has not worsened,” she wrote. “Today, Joey will remain in intensive care to undergo a swallow test. If all goes well, he could be transferred to the second floor and could potentially be discharged from the hospital by Wednesday or Thursday of this week.”

“To ensure his continued recovery, Joey will need physical and occupational therapy to regain his strength and independence. He will not be released until he is well enough to pass those assessments,” she added.

“These are definitely the two most difficult days of my life. I wouldn’t wish this on anyone. It’s a miracle he’s alive. I can’t even believe it,” the reality star said in a clip on social media. “Thank you Jesus for saving my child.”

After Burford’s breathing tube was removed, Mortensen shared a video of her son sending a message of gratitude from her hospital bed. “Thank you to everyone who prays and donates. I appreciate you more than you know,” he said.
