Sometimes you know a television show will be special forever.
Lamorne Morris, who played Winston Bishop New girlopened on November 6 in the episode Crushed podcast about how, while filming the show’s final moments, the entire cast took time to cherish the special experience.
“New girlwe looked at each other like a family and it was actually the best time I spent in the production,” the 41-year-old Saturday night star told hosts Penn Badgley, Navi Kavelin and Sophie Ansari.
He explained: “They are all so funny. Everyone is so attentive, kind, caring and we are all still very close friends to this day.”

“I remember Max Greenfield, right before we were about to finish, Max Greenfield pulled me aside and said, ‘Whatever you’re going to go on and do after this show, it can’t get any better than this. ‘ He said: ‘This is rare. So don’t expect what we’ve been through for the last seven years. It’s not like that,’ Morris recalled. Greenfield, 45, played Schmidt.
“I’ve had some pretty cool actors, but he’s right,” the actor continued. “New girl either one of those experiences. And the fans are so crazy in a good way that I was like, ‘Man, I’m going to talk about this show all day.’ I’m not one of those people who really shy away from past work as long as I keep working.”

“There are times where I talk about episodes that I hated, that I think missed the mark culturally,” he said, noting that the show could sometimes be “sexist” with Schmidt’s stories. He called them “the normal ups and downs of a show” and compared them to “the ups and downs of a family”.

Johnson, 46, told PEOPLE in 2018 when the series ended, “It was a great release. We now also live in a world where Will & Grace and Roseanne are on TV network i Star Wars is our biggest film. Realistically, we hope to work more in 10 years New girl. I don’t think of this as the end New girlI think of this as a break for New girl.”
“I’ll probably jump back in,” he continued. “I say that now, but I don’t know where I’ll be in five years. I will potentially live on some strange island, but if I am still in the Hollywood industry and New girl comes, I’d like to jump on him.”
