Starbucks' Holiday Drink Menu Includes a Festive Refresher for the First Time

Starbucks is ready to decorate the halls.

The coffee shop chain has announced new and returning holiday menu items, all of which will hit stores on Thursday, November 7.

For the first time ever, the cafe is launching a holiday refreshment: the Cran-Merry Orange Refresher. The drink comes in three varieties – original, Cran-Merry Orange Lemonade Refresher and Cran-Merry Drink – and each one is designed to get rid of a specific holiday itch.

Cran-Merry Orange Refresher has orange, cranberry and warm spice flavors, according to a press release. Green coffee extract gives the drink a slightly caffeinated kick, dried cranberries give it a festive look, and the shake with ice gives the drink a coolness. The OG version also combines with water.

Cran-Merry Orange Lemonade Refresher has all the same elements as the original, but replaces water for lemonade. Similarly, the Cran-Merry Drink is a copy of the other two, but with coconut milk instead of water for a “tropical twist and rich, creamy texture.”

The PEOPLE staff got their first taste of the fruity, holiday drinks and were pleasantly surprised that the drinks still deliver the wintry vibes we’re looking for in a holiday drink. The Cran-Merry Orange Lemonade Refresher was a favorite for one tester, who said the tartness of the lemonade really complemented the cranberry flavor.

Classic holiday drinks will be available Thursday, including Peppermint Mocha, Caramel Brulée Latte, Chestnut Praline Latte, Iced Sugar Cookie Almondmilk Latte and Iced Gingerbread Oatmilk Chai. Seasonal cold foams like peppermint chocolate are making a comeback. In addition, the gingerbread cold foam for starters and the salted pecan cold foam can be added to customize any drink.

When it comes to holiday food, there are more new items than returning items. The Sugar Plum Cheese Danish and Cranberry Bliss Bars that fans know and love will be available, as well as three new sweets and one savory option.

Wendy’s is introducing a new Salted Caramel Frosty and revamping a favorite item for its new fall menu

The Dark Toffee Bundt pastry is a personal size. The treat is described as having “deep toffee aromas” and is coated in cheery flecks. The Penguin Cookie is a pastry covered in frosting to make a penguin’s face. Similarly, the Snowman Cake Pop combines vanilla cake with buttercream before being dipped in white chocolate frosting and decorated with snowman elements.

Turkey Sage Danish is the only savory choice for fans who want to enjoy the spirit. The puff pastry is filled with turkey sausages and béchamel sauce.

All hot drinks will be served in this season’s new holiday mugs in green, red and pink shades. The glasses for the iced drink are decorated with illustrations of ornaments so that every sipper can experience the drink.
