Nick Cannon Details His ‘Busy’ Thanksgiving Schedule as a Father of 12, Says He Has ‘a Bunch of Dinners’ to Attend (Exclusive)

Nick Cannon shares what he has planned for this Thanksgiving.

The Wild ‘n Out star, 44, spoke exclusively with PEOPLE at the LA Mission Thanksgiving benefit on Wednesday, Nov. 27 in downtown LA, sharing insight into celebrating the holiday with his 11 children.

Cannon is the proud father of 13-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe with ex-wife Mariah Carey; sons Golden Sagon, 7, and Rise Messiah Cannon, 2, and daughter Powerful Queen, 3, with Brittany Bell; 3-year-old twins Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir and daughter Beautiful Zeppelin, 2, with Abby De La Rosa; son Legendary Love, 2, with Bre Tiesi; and daughter Onyx Ice Cole, 2, with LaNisha Cole.

Cannon is the father of two children with Alyssa Scott — a son, Zen, who died at age 5 months in December 2021 after being diagnosed with brain cancer, and a daughter, Halo Marie Cannon, born on December 14, 2022.

“It’s very complicated. I’m a busy man on Thanksgiving,” he tells PEOPLE, noting that he has “a bunch of dinner parties” he “has to go to.”

“I’ll be full for the rest of the day, but everyone specializes in certain things,” he reveals, adding that “some people get a good sweet potato pie and some people get a great fried turkey.”

“So I know every house that should have things that I really love,” Masked singer the host says.

Cannon was joined by several other celebrity volunteers at the charity event, including Joe Manganiello and Tom Sandoval, who served more than 4,000 meals completely free, provided more than 2,000 items of clothing, and gave free haircuts, manicures and pedicures to those in need.

Cannon tells PEOPLE that he continues to volunteer with the organization because his grandmother taught him that “to whom much is given, much is required.”

“The best part of any vacation is being able to be of service. And that’s what I feel like life really is,” he tells PEOPLE. “When you can get to a place where you have more fun serving and working for others, I think that’s when you reach the zenith of what life really is.”
