“Oh my God, that’s her. The woman who was in charge of security on January 6,” Johnson responded as Trump. “It’s Nancy Pelosi!”

After Thompson’s Barkley clarification, Haley then quipped, “Are you okay, Donald? You might need a mental fitness test.”

The skit, which led to reaction on social networks for Haley’s appearance on the show, it came more than a month after Haley failed to mention slavery when asked about the cause of the Civil War in December.

The Republican candidate has since acknowledged that the Civil War was fought over slavery, when she said on a New Hampshire radio show that “of course” it was about slavery that same week.

“I want to nip it in the bud. Yes, we know the Civil War was about slavery. But more than that, what is the lesson in all this?” Haley said then. “That freedom is important. And individual rights and freedoms are important for all people. That is the blessing of America. It was a stain on America when we had slavery. But what we want is [to] never relive that, never let anyone take those freedoms away from you again.”
