Brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher have a long history of constant feuds – physical and verbal – here’s the full history of the band and what they’ve said to each other.

1993 – The band signs a contract with Creation Records and begins work on their debut album.
August 1994 – Oasis shot to fame with their debut album, Definitely Maybe, with songs including Rock n Roll Star, Live Forever and Supersonic. It is one of the fastest selling debuts ever by a British band.

1995 – The band released their second album, (What’s The Story) Morning Glory? which includes Wonderwall, Don’t Look Back in Anger and Champagne Supernova.
1996 – Liam is forced to miss part of the tour due to laryngitis, but causes chaos when he is filmed throwing his brother off a balcony while filming MTV Unplugged.
2000 – Noel temporarily left the band for the second time when, while partying in Barcelona, Liam annoyed Noel by asking if his daughter Anais was actually his. A couple is fighting with their fists.
2005 – Noel tells Q Magazine that he ‘never forgave’ Liam for his comments about Anais and that he ‘never apologised’. He tells the mage, “He’s my brother. I hope he’s reading this and realizes that. He’s my brother, but he’s at arm’s length until he apologizes for what he’s done.”
2009 – Noel admits in an interview with Q that he ‘dislikes Liam’, calling him “rude, arrogant, intimidating and lazy”. “He’s the angriest man you’ll ever meet,” he added. “He’s like a man with a fork in the soup world.”
Liam later hits back, telling NME: “It takes more than blood to be my brother. He doesn’t love me and I don’t love him.”
23 August 2009 – Oasis pulls out of UK V Festival headline gig as Liam has laryngitis.
28 August 2009 – On the eve of the Rock en Seine festival, Noel and Liam have another fight, during which Liam breaks one of Noel’s guitars after “swinging it like an axe” at Noel.
28 August 2009 – Noel quits the band for the third and final time, saying in a statement: “It is with some sadness and great relief that I have to tell you that I have left Oasis tonight. I simply could not continue working with Liam one day longer.”
2010 – Oasis win ‘Best Album of the Last 30 Years’ at the Brit Awards for (What’s the Story) Morning Glory. Liam picks up the gong and thanks everyone except Noel. He later says it was misinterpreted as excavation.
2011 – Liam tries to sue Noel after he says in an interview that they canceled their show at V Festival because Liam was hungover. Liam contested this, saying the comment “challenged my professionalism”. He later apologized and the lawsuit was dismissed.
2011 – Noel admits he regrets calling it quits ahead of a show in Paris, speaking to Absolute Radio and admits he regrets “we might never have broken up.”
2011 – 2014 – Liam and the other band members continue under a new name, Beady Eye, while Noel forms a new band, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds.
2015 – After years of online attacks, particularly via the media and Twitter, Liam teases that he has buried the hatchet with Noel by sharing an all-area pass to a High Flying Birds concert. However, the fight would continue two months later after Noel publicly dismissed the suggestion that Oasis would reunite for Glastonbury 2016.
2017 – Liam performs at the One Love concert in Manchester following the bombing of Ariana Grande’s concert, with Don’t Look Back In Anger becoming the unifying anthem for the incident. He then scolded Noel for not attending. Noel later told the Sunday Times: “A young music fan has been killed and he, twice, takes it somewhere to be about him. He has to see somebody.”
2018 – Liam suggests a reunion for the 2018 World Cup on Twitter, writing: “Let’s get the big O back together and stop screwing about me being an honor”. When that fell on deaf ears, he added, “Then I’ll take that as a NO.”
2019 – Noel spoke out after Liam sent ‘threatening messages’ to Anais following comments about then-wife Sara McDonald. Liam later publicly apologizes to Anais.
