Sundance Head ‘Walking Around and Doing Exercise’ After Accidentally Shooting Himself Days Prior: See Video

Jason “Sundance” Head has been awake since he accidentally shot himself at his Texas ranch.

On Monday, November 25, the country singer, 46, posted a video on Facebook of him enjoying the outdoors with his animals. In the video, Vote season 11 winner, smiled as he addressed his fans. “Hello everyone. I hope you have a nice day. It’s a beautiful day here. I’m up here walking around, working out,” Head says.

As he continues to walk around the ranch, he shows quick shots of his cows, Maggie and Louise. “Look at my beautiful girl,” he says proudly, “I hope you all have a good day.”

Head’s Nov. 25 video was released 10 days after he accidentally shot himself in the stomach while hunting in the woods. His agent, Trey Newman, confirmed to PEOPLE the Nov. 15 shooting.

The next day, Head’s wife Misty shared several updates via her Facebook account, stating that he had gone home from the hospital and was in stable condition. Although he was “bleeding profusely through the bandages” during the “difficult” three-hour car ride home.

On Sunday, November 17, he told fans what happened, revealing he thought he was “going to die.”

“It was one of the craziest things that ever happened to me… But I really wanted to come here and tell you that I’m alive. It hurts me a lot. I was accidentally shot in the stomach. I was alone.”

“I still have a lot of life left and that’s what I told these ladies and gentlemen yes.” [were] trying to keep me alive throughout the whole process, man. I’m just, really, so grateful for the first responses. They did a wonderful job,” he continued.

He also thanked a stranger who stopped to help him while he was “bleeding” on the side of the road. “Without you, man, I don’t think I would have made it,” he said of the good Samaritan. “I tell you what, my friend, I was at the end of the road.”

“So I’m really, really happy and grateful for a couple of gentlemen who turned around, and I want to tell you honestly that I love you and I’m so grateful that you were in my life at that time,” he continued. “And it was not a random meeting between us. And I look forward to spending more time with you in the future.”

The “Darlin’ Don’t Go” singer also thanked fans for their thoughts and prayers.
