Oasis will play 4 Wembley gigs next summer plus string of blockbuster shows around country as comeback details revealed

OASIS brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher will reveal a massive run of stadium tour dates today after confirming to The Sun that they have reunited.

Four major Wembley concerts are expected to be announced for next year — with other gigs across England, including home Manchester, Scotland, Wales and Ireland.

Both teased the announcement late Sunday — when the band’s logo appeared on their social media accounts with the date “27.08.24” flashing and reading “8am.”

Insiders told The Sun that the warring brothers secretly got together to shoot photos to be used to promote the concerts, a joint operation between promoters Live Nation and SJM.

It was the first time Liam, 51, and Noel, 57 — whose hits included Wonderwall and the chart-topping Don’t Look Back in Anger in the mid-1990s — had been in a room together since the band separated in 2009.

A music industry insider said yesterday: “Oasis’ comeback tour is going to be absolutely massive and they will be taking over the country next summer.

“Today they will announce four shows at Wembley Stadium, along with a host of dates across the UK — including Manchester, which will be incredibly exciting for them.

“Live Nation and SJM joined the project because it’s so huge. In short, there will be tons of tickets available today – Noel and Liam want everyone to get a chance to see them.”

The Sun confirmed yesterday that they are reuniting, with the shows expected to make £400m.

The atmosphere was ‘electric’

And today we can reveal that the project got the green light only seven weeks ago.

Industry sources told us the pair’s management teams have quietly negotiated the deal. It took months to iron out the details.

Confirmation was given last month and the wheels were set in motion, with everyone involved in the comeback having to sign non-disclosure agreements to keep details of the tour top secret.

Liam and Noel, who have been on tour this year, secretly met for a photo shoot to accompany the posters, which will be released today.

It’s something that many people didn’t think would happen. But now the brakes are off and it’s going to be crazy

An internal source

Insiders say the atmosphere was “electric” as the brothers returned together, with many involved in the project admitting they never thought they would see the day. Our source added: “There was a moment when I was pinched that Noel and Liam were together. It took them a long time to get to this point, but they think about the fans.

“The filming was top secret and hardly anyone knew about it. For their fans to see them together again will be an incredible sight, the atmosphere in the room was heated, it was tense.

“Once the announcements are made and their fans rush to buy tickets, the hard work will begin as they prepare to start performing together again. It’s something that many people didn’t think would happen. But now the brakes are off and it’s going to be a frenzy.”

The tour, which kicks off next summer, will see Noel and Liam take fans on a trip down memory lane from their eight No1 albums.

Those close to the band said that Noel had previously feared that they would not give fans a good enough performance if they wanted to transform for the shows.

But he admitted he was encouraged after seeing the success of Blur’s big comeback last year when they played two shows at Wembley.

Although the groups were Britpop rivals in the 90s, Noel became close with Blur singer Damon Albarn.

And Damon told The Sun last May: “I can guarantee he will reform. In fact, I put money into it. They are brothers and it would be wonderful to see them reconcile.”

Liam has long pushed for a reunion and has taken to social media to tell fans how much he wants a reunion with Noel. Responding to a fan on social media who said of the reunion: “I’ve been saying that and no one believed me,” Liam simply wrote: “Same.”

Their last concert together was at the V Festival in Weston Park, Staffordshire, in August 2009. A few days later, the band canceled their headline show at the Rock en Seine festival in Paris shortly before they were due to perform, following an argument backstage.

Noel explained: “It is with some sadness and great relief that I have to tell you that I have left Oasis tonight. People will write and say what they want, but I just couldn’t work with Liam for a day longer.”

Our source said: “Noel and Liam have had their differences, but for this project they care about the music. He will do his best.”

DEAR DEIDRE: HOW WILL I GET BRUV TO BE WITH ME AFTER 15 YEARS?

I haven’t spoken to my brother in 15 years and now we are thrown together on a work assignment.

We used to get along well and Roll With It, but then things got ugly and started to slide.

I once called him “the fork man in the soup world.” And I also attacked him with a cricket bat.

But he called me “tofu boy”, “pouting potato” and “angry syringe”. It was enough to turn me on to Cigarettes & Alcohol.

How do we fix this relationship?

When we meet again, should I punch him in the face or kiss Shakermaker?

DEIDRE SAYS: Sibling rivalries and conflicts can run deep.

So if you’re going to succeed in this new venture, you’re both going to have to try something new — starting with treating each other as equals.

A good place to work would be without name calling.

We are all familiar with seeing young siblings fighting and fighting over toys.

It also sometimes matters who sits where and brags and, unfortunately, many of these children never grow out of that pattern of conflict.

Sibling rivalry often starts with jealousy, competing for the parents’ attention, undermining the sibling, and ultimately trying to make them feel as inadequate as possible.

But in reality, all these behaviors show deep insecurity and often low self-esteem.

So for a more harmonious relationship. . . Don’t look back in anger. . . and start looking forward to a more equal future.

You will see tremendous progress if you treat your brother with respect and celebrate your individuality.

Let’s face it—the stakes are high here—sibling relationships are the longest you’ll ever have.

If you manage to do it right, you have a friend for life.

You have support for your whole life, you have someone who knows you inside out.

And you can both stop crying.

That’s because no matter how bad the conflict was, with sibling defeat when it comes right down to it, it’s never about breaking — it’s about mending.
