HERE’S how SunSport’s Chisanga Malata saw the fight as Oleksandr Usyk was crowned the undisputed king of the world against Tyson Fury.
1ST ROUND
Let’s go. Both look to establish dominance early by occupying the center of the ring.
Fury marches down the Ukrainian, who opens with a stiff body kick.
Gypsy King looks massive compared to Usyk, who is not a dwarf at all.
Usyk is happy to operate on the outside, although the early sting he took will give him some food for thought.
Fury is trying to draw attacks from Usyk, who isn’t throwing too many punches.
Fury is cornered and channels his inner Muhammad Ali by doing a rope-a-dope.
Usyk lands a big overhand left just seconds before backing Fury into the corner.
Fury dodges the onslaught that follows and gestures to the crowd as if demanding they approve of his nod. USYK 10-9
2ND ROUND
Usyk opens the round with a big one-two that bounces off Fury’s head.
Fury tries to take it lightly, but he’s clearly taken aback by the combination.
Usyk sets the rock and applies pressure as he advances forward.
A big uppercut narrowly misses Fury, who knows all too well that it’s a blow for a shorter opponent.
Fury lands more punches but is not as accurate as Usyk.
Usyk backs Fury into the corner and lands a good three punch combination.
But Fury comes roaring back with a heavy kick after circling away from danger.
Fury finally lands an uppercut, albeit to the body of the former cruiserweight king. RAGE 10-9
ROUND 3
Fury is on the bike after the restart and he lands straight from the distance.
Usyk decided to close the distance after eating that punch and will work on Fury’s trimmed torso.
A solid left uppercut takes Fury’s head back with just over a minute left in the stanza.
Fury lands a good combo with thirty seconds left. But he gets pushed back against the ring again and eats another flurry before the bell. USYK 10-9
4th round
Fury attacked the body with two hard shots after the restart.
He absolutely loves this, dancing around after hitting it.
But he still allows himself to gain support and challenge Usyk’s pressure.
Fury executes a beautiful counter as Usyk comes forward.
Usyk’s head was thrown back by another terrible uppercut.
Both men nearly landed backhands before the bell, with Fury narrowly missing an uppercut and Usyk an overhand left. RAGE 10-9
5th round
Usyk takes the center of the ring after the restart and looks to move into range.
Fury does a good job of keeping the Ukrainian at bay when looking to close the distance.
A rough uppercut brings Usyk’s head back.
Fury wounds Usyk in the body with merciless hooks to the muscle. RAGE 10-9
6th round
Usyk is on the front foot right after the restart and looks to put Fury on the back foot again.
A hard body blow to the solar plexus gives Usyk more food for thought.
Fury almost closed the show with a huge uppercut with a minute and a half left in the round.
But he finds a home for it 20 seconds later and Usyk is in retreat mode.
Fury finishes the round with some swagger, putting his hands behind his back before leaning against the ropes.

7th round
Usyk closes the distance once more after the restart, but is denied in the distance.
And when he takes a step back, his body is hit by nasty hooks.
Usyk finds a home for his right left but Fury eats it like lunch prepared by his beloved wife Paris.
Another straight left snaps Fury’s head back, who circles back out of range to try and create space for a body kick
Usyk manages to close the distance with seconds remaining and finds home for a two-punch combo.
But Fury manages to circle to hear the bell. RAGE 10-9
8th round
Fury is happy to operate on the back foot in the figure eight and pick his shots.
But his dome is rattled by back-to-back straight left hands – which he shrugs off before reverting to feinting and trying to create space for a body shot.
Usyk briefly finds himself dealing with Fury’s weight in the clinch after landing a good straight left.
Furia’s nose is bleeding profusely. I am not the cause of the damage. Big round for Usyk. USYK 10-9
9th round
Fury does a good job of tricking Usyk with feints, but the Ukrainian still comes out ahead.
But he slowly but surely allows the gap to close, leading to him eating a big left hand in the corner.
Fury is injured and staggers around the ring. The left hand did the damage.
Fury doesn’t know where he is and eats a bunch of sharp aftershots. He defeats the count and luckily the bell saves him. USYK 10-8
10th round
Usyk – like Big Cat – feels blood and gives Fury no respite.
Fury barely throws anything, and what he does throw is telegraphed and slow.
Usyk looks tired, but he needs to keep his foot on the gas if he wants to have any chance of becoming the undisputed two-division champion. USYK 10-9
11th round
A desperate Usyk, spurred on by the plight of his fellow Ukrainians back home, went straight to work after the restart.
Fury tries to keep him at bay with a jab, but struggles to pump him out with the stiffness he had in the early rounds.
Usyk briefly traps the WBC king in the corner and lands a sharp left hand.
Usyk doubles back with two left hands that send Fury back against the ropes briefly.
The round ends with another big overhand left from Usyk. USYK 10-9
12th round
The fans present in the Kingdom Arena cheered both warriors after the last continuation of the fight.
Fury plays the matador as Usyk looks to get in range and land a left hand.
And he finds a home for it with a minute and a half left in the stanza.
A chopping right hand sends Fury back, but he fires back with a yellow jab of his own that backs up the southpaw.
Fury puts his hands behind his back in an attempt to get Usyk to make a sloppy mistake in the closing seconds.
But he stays sharp as he looks to close the distance, giving Fury time to start the clinch. RAGE 10-9
