A dry January makes Peleton instructor Kendall Toole feel like a superhero!
In an Instagram post on Thursday, the fitness influencer updated her followers on how she’s been feeling since deciding to quit drinking in the first month of 2024.
“Not drinking makes you a different person and let me explain why,” the 30-year-old began in the video to her followers. She further said that she considers herself a night owl and was on a short business trip in Los Angeles, California, planning to return to New York on Friday.
She excitedly revealed that she planned to wake up at 4:45 a.m. on Friday to go to a 5 a.m. exercise class before catching an 8:45 a.m. flight to New York, since her energy wasn’t depleted by drinking wine or other alcohol. .

“I would never have done that if I’d been drinking,” Toole said in the video, leaning in as if to share a secret. “Because I wouldn’t sleep well, because the alcohol just… just affects that, doesn’t it? It doesn’t let you go into REM as well, like you’re sleeping at dusk.”
Toole excitedly told followers that cutting alcohol out of her life also eliminated her sleep problems.
“Who am I? Who am I? 2024 Kendall is unlocked and I’m telling you not drinking becomes like the ultimate super power… uh oh she’s unstoppable,” Toole ended the video.

“It’s an alternative to the way most of society lives, BUT it allows me to prioritize myself and make other social plans with people I love that don’t involve drinking,” she continued in the video’s description. “It turns out that you realize whose company you truly enjoy and who truly cares about you when you remove the haze of alcohol. It becomes obvious who is adding value or who is taking away or disrespecting your energy. That alone will change your life. 🤍✨”
Toole also emphasized the importance of human connection in a 2021 interview with PEOPLE when he talked about why people tend to hide their mental health issues from others.
“We’d rather make sacrifices than ask for support because we don’t want to burden people. I’ve learned that asking for help is actually an opportunity for someone who loves you to show you that they love you,” she said. .
She then explained how she learned to reframe asking for help from others: “I give my truest self to someone else and they can help me through this. Because we’re going to do it together.”
