Tom Edward Sizemore Jr. also known as Tom Sizemore, was born in Detroit, Michigan on November 29, 1961, to Judith (a member of the Detroit Public Defender’s Office) and Thomas Edward Sizemore, Sr. (a lawyer and professor of philosophy). The whole family was Roman Catholic. He is of French and Indian descent. Tom attended Utica High School (for his ninth grade), Austin Catholic Preparatory (for his tenth and eleventh grades), and Bishop Gallagher (for his 12th grade).

He then attended Michigan State University and Wayne State University before earning a master’s degree in theater from Temple University. He moved to New York to pursue his acting dreams. Tom has been under the influence of drugs and severe addictions since he was 15 years old. In 1996, he married Maeve Quinlan, a Hollywood actress. They soon divorced due to Tom’s drug use in 1999. He was even accused of assaulting and abusing one of his ex-girlfriends, Heidi Fleiss, while under the influence of drugs. He was sentenced to seven months in prison and even underwent four months of drug treatment after repeatedly failing drug tests while on probation. Tom and Janelle McIntire welcomed twins Jagger and Jayden in July 2005.
