Prabhakar Chaudhary is a police officer in the Uttar Pradesh cadre 2010 of the Indian Police Service (IPS). He is noted for being transferred 21 times during his 13 years of service. He made headlines in July 2023 when he ordered a lathi charge against Kanwariyas and was later transferred from Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh.

Prabhakar Chaudhary was born on Sunday, January 1, 1984, in Ambedkar Nagar, Uttar Pradesh, India (age 39; as of 2023). His zodiac sign is Capricorn. Prabhakar Chaudhary was appointed as IPS officer on August 30, 2010 after completing police training.
Thereafter, he was posted to Noida as an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) in training. From January 2015 to December 2015, he worked as an ASP in Lalitpur. He served as Superintendent of Police (SP), Deoria from January 3, 2016 to August 18, 2016. Thereafter, he was appointed SP of Kanpur Dehat. He served in the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) of the UP Police from April 28, 2017 to September 23, 2017. On March 22, 2018, he was posted to Mathura as a police officer. On December 9, 2018, he was appointed SP of Bulandshahr.
Prabhakar Chaudhary was appointed as the GRP commander of Jhansi on February 20, 2019; he became the leader of the GRP when residents broke out in riots over land disputes. He assumed office as Sonbhadra police chief on August 4, 2019, amid tensions in the city over land dispute clashes that left 10 people dead. He was posted to Varanasi as Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) on August 31, 2019. He became the SSP of Moradabad city on July 7, 2020. He took charge as SSP of Meerut city on June 14, 2021. He was posted to Agra as SSP on June 25, 2022.
He was posted to Sitapur on November 28, 2022. There he assumed command of the 11th Battalion of the Provincial Armed Police (PAC). He was posted to Bareilly as SSP on March 12, 2023. He was transferred to the 32nd Battalion, PAC on July 30, 2023. According to reports, one of the reasons for his transfer was that he issued a lathi charge-sheet against a Kawariya who had a violent confrontation with the police in Bareilly.
Prabhakar Chaudhary also served as a commando in the National Security Guard (NSG). There he trained new recruits in tactics and weapons handling. According to some sources, he may get a seat in the central delegation to the Confederation of Indian Industry (CBI) in New Delhi.
