Prashansa Sharma was born on July 31 and hails from Jhumri Telaiya in Jharkhand. She attended the Wareham Girls School in Dehradun and then went on to pursue a degree at the Hindu College in Delhi University. Thereafter, she pursued a course in drama and acting at the Bombay School of Drama. She also studied at the Prague Film Academy in the Czech Republic. During her childhood, Prahansa Sharma actively participated in various extracurricular activities such as dance, drama, and plays.

In 2018, she acted in the action-crime drama Mirzapur Season 1, playing the role of Radhiya, the maid of Tripathi Kothi, who was raped by Munna Bhaiya. Prashansa gained popularity in Mirzapur Season 2, when her character Radhiya took revenge on the Tripathi family by murdering Munna Bhaiya’s grandfather Satyanand Tripathi.
