Priyanka Chopra Shares Adorable ‘Play Date’ Photos with Daughter Malti, 1

Priyanka Chopra and her daughter Malti Marie spend some precious time together.

This week, the actress took some time off from supporting husband Nick Jonas on tour to enjoy some mommy-daughter time with the couple’s adorable one-year-old, Malti.

Chopra, 41, shared some snaps from their game on her Instagram Story on Wednesday, including one photo of her holding Malti – who was wearing floral-print rompers – on the play mat. And it seems that the adorable child may have inherited her dad’s love of music, as she was surrounded by colorful maracas, even holding one above her head in the shot.

“Play date with friends 😍.” Chopra wrote over the cute picture.

Another shot captured Malti spending time in the playground with two little friends, while a third blurry photo from Chopra’s Story seemed to capture the actress’ daughter and friend in motion as they played.

Chopra previously spoke about how her life and priorities have changed since she and Jonas welcomed Malti, who was born via surrogate on January 15, 2022.

Speaking to TODAY in April 2023, Citadel the actress said she has a new understanding of “work-life balance,” adding that no matter what, after her work day is over, it’s time to bathe her little girl.

“I’m not available after that. We do bath time, story time, bedtime,” she told the newspaper. “And then it’s our time (for me and Nick), whether it’s … having friends over or just sitting together and watching a movie.”

Baby Malti spent the first 100 days of her life in intensive care after being born via surrogate, and in January Chopra Jonas revealed British Vogue February that she “didn’t know if it would work or not.”

Malti was born a full trimester ahead of her due date and her mum recalled that her daughter was “smaller than my hand” when she was born.

“I was in the operating room [operating room] when she came out. It was so small, smaller than my hand,” she said British Vogue. “I’ve seen what the ICU nurses do. They’re doing God’s work. Nick and I both stood there while they intubated her. I don’t know how they even found what they needed [in her tiny body] to intubate her.”

The actress said she and her musician husband spent the next three months visiting the NICU daily, first at Rady Children’s Hospital in La Jolla, California, and later at Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles.

On May 8, 2022, Jonas shared a touching tribute to his wife on Instagram for her first Mother’s Day, revealing that their daughter was “finally home” after an extended stay in intensive care.

Meanwhile, her proud dad, 30, also opened up about his fatherhood journey during an appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show in January.

Revealing they threw a “big party” for her first birthday, he said: “She’s been through a pretty wild journey early in her life, so we had to celebrate in style. She’s one. She’s gorgeous. It’s amazing — the best.”
