Raquel Leviss Cut Tom Sandoval Out of Her Life Because She’s ‘Leaving Behind Toxic People’ (Source)

Rachel “Raquel” Leviss and Tom Sandoval are not on speaking terms after their affair.

The Vanderpump Rules alum left Sandoval in her past while undergoing mental health treatment, a source tells PEOPLE. “Rachel and Tom haven’t spoken in almost three months. She checked out of Meadows Trauma Therapy Center in July and has not had any contact with him since sometime in June,” the insider says.

Leviss’ decision was to remove Tom’s negative influence, the insider added.

“Rachel made the decision that it was the healthiest thing to cut Tom out of her life completely and despite his attempts to write and call, she stopped communicating with him while she was at the trauma center,” they said.

“She spent months in a facility doing nothing but taking responsibility for her actions and learning what led to her decisions while making multiple excuses. A big part of her mental health journey has been leaving behind toxic people, especially those with questionable intentions towards her,”, added the source, who noted that the owner of the TomTom bar seemingly “can’t keep it down [Rachel’s] name from his mouth.”

Leviss, 29, and Sandoval, 41, sparked controversy among Bravo fans earlier this year when it was revealed he had been cheating on Ariana Madix, his girlfriend of nine years, with her costum.

A few weeks after Madix, 38, suddenly called it quits, the cast gathered for a raucous reunion where Leviss was furious with her castmates (and even had to stay 100 yards away from former friend Scheana Shay due to a restraining order canceled a few days after the recording).

Sandoval and Madix subsequently returned to film season 11 VPR — and they both work monthly because he’s supposed to appear in the upcoming season Special forces: the toughest test in the world and will compete in the 32nd season Dancing with the stars.

While speaking with PEOPLE at a press event for his new Fox show, Sandoval responded to Leviss blocking him on Instagram after wishing her a happy birthday on Monday. “Obviously, I think it’s a little immature and petty,” he said. “Announcing that you’re blocking seems a bit thirsty.”
