Shereé Whitfield is looking for love — and she’s got a checklist behind her.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta star recently joined Chanel Omari on her iHeartRadio podcast, Chanel in townand shared what she looks for when looking for love.
Whitfield, 53, revealed to Chanel in town host that while people are “confused” by her relationship with Martell Holt, the two are “good friends.”
The self-proclaimed “hopeless romantic” explained: “We enjoy being with each other. But I think people get confused with dating or when you’re in a committed relationship. I never said we were in a committed relationship.”
She continued: “I always said we were dating. I am having fun. I enjoy life. That’s always been my position and it’s still my position.”
Whitfield recently shared her casual relationship with Holt in the final season The Real Housewives of Atlanta. But after the final season ended, Whitfield explained that she was still keeping her “options open” and “spending time with whoever [she] wants to spend time with.”

She added: “And when I realize that this is the perfect guy for me, the right guy for me, that’s when I’ll settle down.”
Omari was quick to respond, asking the Bravo star what it would take for her to commit to a man and what she was looking for before making that decision.
Whitfield said of her personal search — and checklist — she had to “be God-fearing.” She added: “I love my family very, very much. So you have to be family oriented. You need to make me laugh.”
“I need you to be together,” Whitfield continued.
“I want you to be healthy. I want you to be fit. I want you to be a great communicator because I know that’s a big deal.” She added: “That’s why a lot of people get divorced because of communication. I want to be able to talk to you about anything. I want to be able to trust you.”
After sharing her list with Omari, she joked, “When I think about my list, I think, ‘It’s not that long or that bad.’ ”

“I will remarry when I find that person for me … I don’t think I’ve found that person yet, but I know it’s out there,” Whitfield said. Before casually dating Holt, housewives the star was previously married to former NFL player, Bob Whitfield.
The two were married from 2000 to 2007 and have two children. After their divorce, the reality star joined the first season of the series The Real Housewives of Atlanta in 2008.

Even though she shares her life with the Bravo audience, Whitfield still becomes skeptical of men who are just looking for a relationship on Instagram. She told Omari that some men are just looking to follow the star on social media. Whitfield said that in that case she responds, “‘No, are you trying to be my friend or are you trying to date me?’ ”
She also requires her potential partners to “work for them [it]”, and reminds Chanel in town listeners to do the same.
