RHOSLC Reunion: Monica Explains Using 4 Different Last Names After She’s Accused of Changing ‘Every F—ing Week’

Monica Garcia clears up some confusion about her “many identities.”

On Tuesday in the second installment of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season 4 reunion, Monica set the record straight in her different last names that have been floating around the internet.

When host Andy Cohen asked if her maiden name was “Fowler,” the reality star corrected him and claimed it was Darnell, and Fowler was her “married name.”

“What is Delgado?” Andy asked, to which Monica replied, “That’s Dad’s side.”

“Garcia is on her mother’s side,” she explained, when Bravo Mogul continued to press her. “My mother was born, ‘Linda Darnell Susan Maria Garcia.’ Growing up, she was teased and called Portagee in Boston [sic] all the time and it stuck with her. I don’t know, so when she came of age, she deleted her whole name because she was ashamed of it and just kept Linda Darnell. When I was born I was Linda Darnell.”

Although technically “Monica Linda Darnell” is like her mother, Monica admitted that “that name means nothing to me” and that she wanted to use the “family name” after the divorce.

“I’ve only ever legally used three, and that’s the one I was born with, when I got married and when I got divorced,” she added, before Andy asked why her mother was “confused” about why she changes her name “every freaking week” this season.

Monica said her mother “definitely brought up” her names “as a dig” after she confided in her about “certain” housewives making fun of her for using “whatever I was going to use .”

“Because they said I was trying to look more Latino to get on the show,” she added.

When Lisa Barlow asked who she was referring to, Monica accused her of saying she “opened a book” and put her finger on a random name to pick the perfect nickname to land her the gig.

“I didn’t say that—you know who said that? Jen [Shah],” Lisa argued, trying to defend herself. “Jen Shah did. Jen Shah said you passed…”

Before she could finish her sentence, Monica cut her off and asked if she was simply “repeating what Jen Shah said” when she made the claims, prompting Lisa to scream, “You fake fucking bitch!”
