The fitness star shared some behind-the-scenes tidbits from his time on the daytime talk show this week on X, talking about his visits to Martha Stewart, Rosie O’Donnell and Phil Donahue, among others.

Simmons, 75, is currently working on his biopic, and he shared some memories with fans and followers along the way.

From his stop at The Martha Stewart Show, Simmons said: “This lady is so talented I think she has butter and cream in her veins.” Her talent on that show?

“She took a bunch of celery, cut off the bottom and put it in red ink,” he said. – She pressed it on a piece of paper and it looked like a red rose.

Later in the show, Simmons took two carrots and put them on his head “like horns,” he recalled. “She looked at me and said, ‘Richard, can you behave yourself’.”

Simmons called himself “too much” and “too bubbly” for Phil Donahue, and the same for Charlie Rose. “He wasn’t staring at you,” Simmons said, “he was staring through you.”

But one of his wildest memories comes from a visit The Wendy Williams Show.

“Years later I was invited to see Ms. Dion in Las Vegas,” he continued. “Mrs. Dion’s assistant was so nice to me and told me she was getting married. I asked for her address and sent her a vintage wedding bag encrusted with little pearls.”
