Rihanna Slams Online Troll for Demanding New Album and Making Fun of Her 'Forehead.' See Her Ruthless Clapback

Insulting Rihanna will not speed up her new album release.

The global superstar, 36, hasn’t released a new album since 2016. Antiand one online troll decided to remind her of that fact in a comment on her recent Instagram post celebrating the New Year 2025 — and RiRi was quick to clap back.

“We want the front of the album,” Instagram user @lorenzohirmez wrote under the video of the “Work” performer welcoming the new year with friends.

The comment caught Rihanna’s attention, and she responded, “Listen Lorenzo! You’re not cute enough to call me by my black name, you giddy fuck!”

In the original Instagram video, the Barbados native stated, “Y’all, I haven’t had a drink in a year! I haven’t had a drink in a year.” She added in the title “New year, new me”.

Although the Grammy winner hasn’t released a new album in nearly nine years, she has released two songs — “Lift Me Up” and “Born Again” — for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack in 2022 and headlined the Super Bowl halftime show the following year.

Last week, Rihanna unofficially returned to the stage to sing her 2016 songs “Needed Me” and “Sex with Me” at the New York City Girls Love Karaoke event, according to videos shared online by fans.

In an interview with British Vogue last year, the mother-of-two spoke of feeling the “toxic pressure” of top quality Anti — aka “the most cohesive album I’ve ever made” — with her upcoming music.

“That’s not the right way to look at music because music is an outlet and a space to create, and you can create whatever you want. It doesn’t have to be on any scale,” she said at the time. “It just has to be something that’s good. It can just be a song that I like. It literally could be that simple.”
