The following year, he participated in the Indian Kailuo School Games and won a gold medal in his home state. In 2021, he was selected by Mumbai Pro Kabaddi League team “U Mumba” for Season 8 and was auctioned for Rs. 3.2 million. He scored 60 tackles while averaging 73.51% of his playing time. In his first season in the PKL, he scored 60 points in 22 games.
In the same year, Rinku represented Chandigarh in the 68th National Senior Championship (Men). In 2022, Linku represented Guru Kashi University’s Talwandi Sabo in the Indian Kailuo University Games and won the gold medal in the men’s team.
In the same year, he represented Guru Kashi University Talwandi Sabo in the All India Inter-University Championship 2022 held at Mahesh Dayanand University, Rohtak, and won the second prize in the competition.
In 2022, he was retained by the Professional Kabaddi League team “U Mumba” for the 9th season and was appointed as the team’s vice-captain for the entire season. He also served as captain for a few games due to injuries to the original captain.
In 2023, Rinku Sharma participated in the 37th National Games of India in Goa. Rinku represented the Chandigarh Kabaddi team and won the bronze medal in the competition.
In the same year, Rinku was retained by the “U Mumba” team to participate in the 10th season of the Pro Kabaddi League, where he made 38 tackles, gained 23 tackle points, and averaged 79.28% of the playing time.

- As far as the raiders are concerned, Rinku considers Pardeep Narwal to be his biggest inspiration. He considers Iranian player Fazel Atrachali to be his idol in defensive kabaddi.
- Rinku Sharma started playing Kabaddi at the age of 12 as Kabaddi is the most famous sport in his hometown. He was inspired after seeing senior players from his village who are now famous Indian Kabaddi players like Pardeep Narwal, Rajesh Narwal and Joginder Narwal Joginder Narwal).
