Russell Brand suggested a 15-year-old should have a sex-themed birthday party in a replay of his BBC radio show, The Russell Brand Show.
The information exchange was shared on X (formerly known as Twitter) by British current affairs show Channel 4 on Tuesday. Shipmentswho published joint research with The Sunday Times and Time on Saturday that included allegations of rape, sexual assault and battery against Brando.
In the 2007 audio recording, Brand, 48, takes a caller asking for ideas for her 16th birthday party.
“I guess you’re 16, you can’t drink or do any drugs yet because it’s illegal,” the comedian says in the replay.
“Now you will be legally allowed to have sexual partners,” he continues as the caller laughs. “Now, I think you should entertain the subject of legal sex.”
Later in the conversation, he suggests that she should throw a vampire-themed masquerade party or ball, which he says is, “in its own way, erotic but in a subdued way, appropriate for a 16-year-old girl. ”
In another clip from the 2007 series — which Channel 4 Dispatches resurfaced in the same thread on X — Brand jokes about having sex with women regardless of “age, race or whether they’re awake or not”.
“That’s the policy I use for women,” the presenter says in the video. “Hello, there is a woman. Let’s not get bogged down in things like age, race or whether they are awake or not. Just get over there and give them the night of their lives.”

Brand is accused of rape, sexual assault, and physical and emotional abuse by five women — four who remain anonymous — including a 16-year-old, according to the joint investigation. The Sunday Times, Time and Channel 4 Shipments.
The media reported — in the article he published Time on Saturday and during the episode Dispatches on Saturday night local time — that the incidents allegedly took place between 2006 and 2013 when the comedian was a presenter for BBC Radio 2 and Channel 4 and the film actor starred in films such as Forgetting Sarah Marshall.
One woman accused Brand of raping her against a wall in his Los Angeles home in 2012, while a former colleague claimed Brand — who has been married to Laura Gallacher since 2017 — sexually assaulted her in 2013. One of the women also claimed she was 16 years old. and still at school when Brand was 31 when he allegedly assaulted her in London in 2006.

Brand denied the allegations in a video posted on social media on Friday, saying he “absolutely denies” the claims and described them as “extremely outrageous and aggressive attacks”.
On Monday, Time reported that “several women” have contacted the publication since it published the initial report.

In a statement on Monday, a BBC spokesperson told PEOPLE that the corporation is “urgently looking into the issues raised” by the report.
“The documentary and related reports contained serious allegations, spanning a number of years,” added a BBC spokesman. “Russell Brand worked on BBC radio programs between 2006 and 2008 and we are urgently investigating the issues raised.”
On Tuesday, Brand became the subject of a new sexual assault allegation. The Metropolitan Police said the alleged attack took place in London in 2003 and they are in contact with the woman in question.
