Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes enjoy Olympic action!

The long-term couple were spotted watching the Summer Olympics on Sunday (August 4) during a rare public outing – where they checked out the Dressage Individual Freestyle Grand Prix at Chateau de Versailles before catching the women’s bars final at Bercy Stadium.

On Olympic day, Mendes, 50, and Gosling, 43, wore sunglasses and headgear to protect themselves from the sun during the equestrian competition.

Gosling wore a white Paris 2024 baseball cap and clear glasses, while Mendes wore a Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI) sun hat and large white sunglasses.

The pair kept their Olympic viewing day relatively low-key as they mostly sat behind other spectators as they watched Germany take home both gold and silver in the event. In particular, the rider Jessica von Bredow-Werndl emerged as the winner, as the German Isabell Werth won the silver, and Charlotte Fry from Great Britain won the bronze.

Later, Gosling and Mendes were seen enjoying gymnastics again in the women’s bars final at Bercy Arena, after Gosling swapped his white hat for a green one, according to NBC showwhose images are divided into X.

It appears the couple were joined by their daughters, Esmeralda, 9, and Amada, 8, during the gymnastics outing.

During the same interview, Girl in progress star explained why she decided to step away from acting in recent years to focus on her children, calling it “the easiest decision I’ve ever made”.

“I was older and I knew that one day my kids would be little and whatever I do or don’t do now will affect them for the rest of their lives,” Mendes said. “Your career comes and goes, but kids, yeah, that was easy for me. It’s just the formative years. I wanted to be there for it all.”

As for the couple’s life at home, Mendes then revealed that Gosling cooks while she cleans. “I’m not a cook, so my man cooks and I clean, so it’s nice. I can’t cook. You don’t want me to cook,” she said. “My girls, they’re so sweet, but they ask, ‘Did you make these eggs, Mom?’ I said, ‘It’s eggs, yes.’ Who messed up the eggs?”
