The group said they were ‘heartbroken’

It reads: “We are very disappointed to announce that tonight’s event in Liverpool has had to be postponed due to an unforeseen technical issue affecting their power supply and therefore your safety.

“We cannot express how sorry we are. Especially since we know many of you have traveled great distances to join us tonight.

“But your safety is always our priority.”

The canceled concert has been rescheduled for October 30, and all tickets remain valid. Fans who cannot attend the new date are entitled to a refund.

The statement continued: “We are absolutely heartbroken but really hope to see you then. Thank you for your continued support. Sending you lots of love.

“Brad, Jo, Jon, Rachel and Tina x.”

Shocked fans are understandably disappointed by the news.

One angrily said: “You’re kidding!!! Notice in less than 2 hours.”

Another said: “Gutted come it all from swindon can’t make Monday :(.”

A third posted: “Absolute joke. Can’t arrange a new date. 2 hours notice! Really!?”

The five-piece kicked off their The Good Times Tour in Manchester last night.

At the beginning of the concert, a video of late member Paul Cattermole was played behind the group.

Overcome with emotion, Bradley McIntosh said: “That’s our brother right there, man. He’s gone, but you’ll never be forgotten.

“We miss you every day. You know what we’ve been through this year,” Bradley later added.

“It was so tragic, it was so sad. But we have you. And we’re here for you and we couldn’t do it without you.”

S Club 7 rose to fame in 1998 and originally consisted of Paul, Jo O’Meara, Rachel Stevens, Tina Barrett, Jon Lee, Bradley and Hannah Spearritt.

After Paul died of natural causes earlier this year, it has been confirmed that his ex-girlfriend and former bandmate Hannah will not be taking part in the tour.

In an exclusive interview with The Sun, the singer revealed that her mental health deteriorated after Paul’s death.

Hannah said: “Will I ever perform with them again? I just don’t know.

“I haven’t spoken to any of them since I left, which is fine. I was extremely excited – we all were – to come back as a seven-year-old.

“But then Paul died and everything changed. It gave me time to think about whether it was the right thing for me.

“I’m really sad that we’re not in touch. They’ve gone their separate ways and I’ve gone mine. I wish them all the best.”

The band didn’t mention Hannah last night and didn’t mention that she was missing from the lineup.
