Sahana Bajracharya, also known as Sahana Vajracharya, is a Nepali model, VJ, producer and television host. She was the first runner-up in the Miss Nepal 2010 beauty pageant and represented Nepal in the Miss Earth 2010 held in Vietnam. Sahana is the first woman to appear on the cover of TNM (Nepal Men) magazine, the first complete men’s magazine in Nepal.

Sahana Bajracharya was born on Tuesday, August 15, 1989 in Kathmandu, Bagmati State, Nepal (age 33; as of 2022). She attended St. Mary’s School in Jawarakur, Lalitpur. After completing her studies, she went on to study media studies at Kathmandu University (KU) in Nepal, but dropped out after the first semester because she could not study and model at the same time. She holds a BA in Broadcast Media from Wigan and Leigh College.

She started her modeling career by participating in the Miss Nepal 2008 competition, which was canceled after female Maoists protested against the pageant. After participating in the Miss Nepal 2008 competition, she was signed by Dabur Special-Lite Hair Oil. Social activist
Sahan is also a social activist who explores rural areas of Nepal, listening to the stories of the people living in these areas and helping them. There is a menstrual taboo in western Nepal called “Chaupadi” where menstruating girls are not allowed to participate in any ordinary household chores as they are considered impure. Women were barred from the houses and forced to live in cow sheds or small huts called menstrual huts. Sahana has contributed to the fight against the Choupadi cult to protect women from living in harsh and dangerous conditions that are very unhygienic and unsafe and sometimes even lead to death. She was praised for this act of bravery and kindness.

Making out in the car!
On July 28, 2014, Kantipur Television Network anchor duo Sahana and Suraj Giri were spotted in Suraj, Chitwan, Nepal ) in a car. The incident occurred around 3:00 a.m. when police saw a car rocking on its own. After taking a look inside the car, they saw that Sahana and Suraj were almost naked. Sahana issued an official press statement on social media and wrote:
This is the official press statement from me and my friend Suraj Giri. I am outraged and hurt by the unfounded reports that went viral yesterday! Most media outlets continue to over-promote and fail to even follow basic principles of media ethics. If the police catch us, can’t someone at least ask the police what happened? “
Sahana defended herself by saying that they were returning from Chitwan after taking care of some business. The police caught them while they were changing a tire on their car. Suraj was drunk at the time, and the police fined him 1,000 Nepali rupees for drunk driving and was later released. After this incident, both had to leave Kantipur TV. About her resignation from Kantipur TV, she said,
I hereby announce that my self-resignation has been withdrawn and I look forward to returning to Kantipur Television as soon as possible! “

In the 2016 European Cup, in the final between Portugal and France, Ronaldo was injured and left the field. Sahana posted on Facebook,
Cristiano Ronaldo should consider switching to acting! #so muchdrama”
After reading her post, Cristiano’s fans began cursing and insulting her. Later, she removed the hashtag and added two new ones with the following text:

This strategy of Sahana did not work and instead, netizens started trolling her on social media.
